Went there today to get my oil changed as usual. As I am sitting there in the waiting room, i noticed that every trash can in the place look it hasn't be changed in 2- 3 days as they were overflowing with garbage. Lets not mention the nice coffee stain on the floor that looks like it has been there awhile also.

I see that my car is done so I go up to the counter to pay for it. No cashier in site and the oil change guys are all walking around with their thumb stuck up their a**. Finally the manager of that dept finally shows up after about 3 minutes from the back room. I just kinda roll my eyes at him when he finally showed up to show my disgust for waitiing.

The last several times I have been there, it has been almost the same and I guess I'm a glutant for punishment, but today was the last straw. I called the store manager and told him i'm serous comtemplating on whether to go back there anymore. He told me they just changed managers back there recently and told me to give them another change. Well, it doesn't look nothing is changing in my book.

I feel the same way you do every time I go there, but you can't hardly beat their price for an oil change. By the time you buy the oil and filter you have about what they are charging to do it for you. It does get frustrating.

You pay a price in inconvenience to get the lowest price in dollars. I prefer to support local businesses. Have you considered, it might be worth a few dollars more to take your car to somebody you know and trust.

Please support your local businesses. A few more dollars is worth it. Besides, they're closer (at least for me), so I don't waste the gas going to Wally World. I won't support WalMart because of the way the company treats its employees.

We like to go to Cleveland Auto, but the problem is getting there before they close. When you work in Raleigh, it's hard to get somewhere by 5.

Puaaalease!! How can ANYONE use ANY Wal-mart for an oil change. On 2 different occasions and 2 different Wal-marts I have tried to get my oil changed because I knew I would be shopping for a while inside. Pffft I might be shopping for a while but not 3 flipping hours!!! That was just how long the "wait" was. Also, once when a friend of mine got the "deluxe" change or whatever, where they vacuum out your car and a few other extras.... HA no they didn't do not the first extra thing.

Yeah go to Jiffy Lube or where ever else....wal-mart is a waste of time. LOL

You get what you pay for...walmart may be a few dollars cheaper, but the locally owned businesses will do a better job. Think about it, they have to prove themself in order to stay in business what have the 18 year olds at walmart got to prove?? I can suggest a GREAT place to go if you'd like!

Last time I priced Jiffy Lube type places they were twice as much as WalMart. Also, I have been to Cleveland Auto many times. I like their attitudes and service, but didn't like the $16 oil change that ended up being close to $23 with shop fees and other hidden charges. Plus like someone else said it's hard to get there before they close when you work all day.

A Place not to go... a while back there was a thread about this place... Jiffy Lube on 70
in Clayton, infront of the Food Lion. I don't remember who started the thread, anyone else remember what the deal was with that place and why not to go there... something about the manager??

Last time I went to Jiffy Lube in Clayton, they didn't put enough oil in my car. My brother-in-law went there too and they put the wrong size oil filter on his car. By the time he got to the stop light at McDonalds, he had leaked all his oil out of his 2006 Dodge. Jiffy Lube went and picked up the car after he walked back very angry. They gave in another oil change and offered to give him his next one free. He said NO WAY and nobody in our family goes there anymore. I have been sticking with Xpress Lube of Smithfield. Never had problems there.

    Wal-mart sucks

For all you Wal-Mart automotive haters, got some more ammo for you. A month or so ago, I was having trouble with my battery, and I needed a new one in a hurry, so I thought I would try wal-mart. Not only were the staff ****y with me because I came in 30 minutes before they closed, but, it gets better.....Luckily for me, I needed to check my brake fluid a few days later, so when I opened my hood, I found on top of my battery, none other than a fricken monkey wrench! I am glad that nothing happened to my car as a result of them leaving their tool inside my engine! So, never again will I take my car to some place where 18 year olds are changing my oil, or rotating my tires, etc. I have had good experience with the people at BJ's and their prices are pretty good, I guess I will trust them for a while.

I went to Jiffy Lube on 70 one time and only one time. They didn't tighten my oil filter so it started working it's way back off and when they checked my air filter they couldn't get it back together so they just laid it in place and shut the hood. I was standing there watching them having problem and give up. I complained to the manager but he wasn't too bright of a bulb himself. When I left I just told them they would never see me there again.

There are two Jiffy Lubes on 70. Which one are you all referring to?

I gotta agree with some of the post here. Ya get what you pay for. The same is usually true in my field. The cheapest is not usually the best. The do-it-yourself route is far and away the best. You need to ask yourself is the savings worth the stress and aggrevation. Besides, i hate Wallyworld.

I can't believe you all go to these places! Think about it! Do you want somebody who just quit his job at McDonalds tinkering under the hood of your car? There are enough stories of them blowing engines to fill a book. Wrenches left under the hood, wrong sized filters, loose drain plugs, over/under filling the oil, forgetting to put the cap back on ...this is just their common everyday business practice.

If you're going to let somebody monkey around under the hood of your car, make sure its a mechanic.

The guys at Clayton Honda/Acura stay open late two days a week and they're open on Saturdays. It doesn't have to be a Honda, they'll do maintenance on anything.

The only reason I go to the Walmart in clayton is because I can go there most of the time and be the first person there when I get off of work in the mornings.

I think I will go to cleveland auto since I have had good experiences from them in the past on other issues

now...not everyone can change their own oil. ( i don't becuase i'm too lazy) but i do try to be overprotective of my car.

i **** them off because i wont leave my car...i stand right there and watch them do it. maybe you could try that...they might do it right and pay attention since your breathing down their neck. lol.

Remember if you do your own oil, to dispose of the oil properly. Most JC disposal stations have waste oil repositories. 8)
