I know this is off subject - but I figured Frugal would be reading the postings in this forum. Frugal - I just realized you were recognized as one of WVES's volunteers of the Month. I just wanted to say THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO!!!!
You ladies are too funny! Thanks for the kind words Melynda! I don't think the volunteer coordinators realized that I pulled the kids out of school and we started homeschooling January 2nd! LOL! Now I get to volunteer all day, every day (and we are all loving homeschooling!).
Although I knew I hadn't passed you in the halls recently, I didn't realize you had started homeschooling your kids. I'm sure the folks at the school will miss you - but your kids will get to see lots more of you. I'm afraid I'm probably organized enough to homeschool myself and somehow my Son seems to work better for his teachers than he does for me. His teachers can get him to do all sorts of work in class - but it takes me hours to help him get through the homework that really shouldn't take more than 15 - 20 minutes. Although I probably wouldn't make a good homesschooler, I'm glad we have a a couple of families in our neighborhood who homeschool. The families seem to have lots of support from other homeschooling families in the area and they seem to enjoy it. One of the reasons the Johnston County Library's Bookmobile comes monthly to visit our neighborhood is that we have a couple of homeschooling families. Visiting the bookmobile sure is easier than driving all the way to the library Frugal, thanks again for all your efforts at the school in the past
