Help!!

I need a new car TODAY! I just found my car is terminally ill and I have to get to work and keep my kids safe. Which are the better used dealers? I see an awful lot of cars driving around from the lot catty-corner from CVS @ 40/42 (Carolina Pre-owned??)
I am so angry! I just spent close to $1000 getting this thing fixed and it trash.

We bought our car thru Shumakers in Clayton over by Food Lion on 70. We love the car we got and we really liked Chris and his wife. This is a family run business.

 

really? I bought a car from him about a year ago. Come to find out, when I took it to Carmax to trade it in, they told me it was in a accident, and would give me well below blue book value. I even asked Mr. Allen if it was ever wrecked. Just a heads up. (Make sure you get a Carfax report!! Don't trust anyone)

I am sure that it not limited to Mr. Allen. Carfax reports are not always correct.

We bought our Jeep from Doug at Dwight Adams, right beside the Eckerds on 70 in Clayton. DH's family has bought several vehicles from them, nice guys and always willing to work a deal and check around for you. They also have a lot up 70 in Garner, just before the IHOP, if you go up to that one, see Dennis. If you see Dennis or Doug at either place, tell them Craig & Brenda sent you. (Tell Doug we were the ones who bought his Jeep)

 

I got the best service, deal, etc. at Matthews Motors in Clayton. They are absolutely wonderful!!

Well, got me a new car. Actually a mini-van. I guess I am officially grown up.
Got it at Central Carolina Pre-owned. 2004 Ford Freestyle. Drives great and I know we got a great deal. We will take it to a mechanic Monday to make sure.
Our good service stiory: we just put new tires, brakes (including rotors) on the car and had it aligned. ~$1000 worth. Car is stil making a noise. Take it back to brake place and find out A-fram is rusted and bolt, somthing or another is just gone. Serious damage that both places missed and shouldn't have. Tire place offers a full refund of tires if I can get the tires to them. Brake place: "You just told us to fix the brakes. We weren't looking for any other damage." My husband told them there was a noise AND they test drove it afterward. Not their problem. Too bad, so sad. Manager rude to me. I was in tears. I have 2 small children that I transport and I count on professional business people to do their jobs. NOT take advantage.
