Greg Cox, N&O restaurant critic, had a article on Friday about Joyce and Family, 135 S. Main St., Fuquay-Varina, (919) 567-1717.

We went there today after church. Greg Cox is right. Both the fried chicken and chicken pastry is excellent. Make sure to get the fried chicken as it is put out on the buffet. The vegetables were also very good. Especially the cinnamon-scented candid yams and collards.
The staff is very efficient and friendly. Buffet is small and in a corner. Hard to get from one side to other side. There was a good crowd today at lunch. Talking with other diners at the buffet there were a number of first timers there after reading Greg Cox's article. We will return!
    Sanitation Grade posted was 92.

Not a secret anymore. Greg Cox has a following. When he says something is good his readers go check it out. If the buffett is as good as his article states the may need a bigger location. LOL

Is Main St. the same as 401?

If I was at the Walmart, going back out onto 401, how would I get there?

    It's on Hwy 42 Downtown

Main Street and Hwy 42 are one and the same. Coming from 40/42 area just stay on Hwy 42 West into downtown. It will be on your left. Typical downtown stores along there.
