Hey, i'm not a regular viewer, it was on in the living room while i was cooking dinner and i heard the 12yo girl mouthing off so i went in and rewound it to see what it was all about - i'm sorry:cry::lol::lol:
Here's the story I mentioned that will be aired about the clubs across the country: INSIDE EDITION THURSDAY FEB 2007 "Teen Clubs Teen clubs are supposed to be a safe place for children under the age of eighteen to party. But, while drinking alcohol is prohibited, you won't believe what INSIDE EDITION found when we brought our hidden cameras to some teen clubs. From raunchy contests to sexual acts on the dance floor, it's an INSIDE EDITION report every parent should see." *********** Here are links to news stories of young teen girls fighting over boys http://www.local6.com/video/10864818/index.html Another one – this time a teenaged girl is stabbed during a fight over a boy: http://abclocal.go.com/kgo/story?section=News&id=2450462 Another one in New York http://www.wnbc.com/news/10766168/detail.html
My husband said, Where he grew up, people spanked other peoples children. Like a village. Then when the neighbor was through, you had mom and dad to look forward to. He grew up in garner. He is 48 and it was really country here. He remembers when nothing was here. They raised hogs and stuff like that.
I have been spanked my my neighbor and by a teacher and I ain't no where near 48 years old. Things just ain't like they use to be. Thats for sure! And it seems to have changed QUICKLY!! Yes, I remember being mischievous growing up. Trying my hardest to twiddle my way into doing something I knew I wasn't suppose to be doing. It wasn't THAT long ago. But with every wrong step I made I was so worried someone would see me and tell my daddy. It was like he had spy agents all over the place. I was way too much of a wuss to even TRY to go to any parties or anything like these raves because I just knew I would meet my maker if I was found there by "an agent". Sure there were kids just like these back when all of us were growing up but you know what... I think there is FAR MORE of them now. It's just the thing to be now adays. And it's really sad. And of course there are teens getting on this board trying to defend what they see in those pictures. They don't want to be labeled with the masses. The fact still remains kids don't need to be in an adult club atmosphere such as that. Because if you sleep with dogs you get fleas. Deal with the ridicules from us adults or just don't lower yourself to that level by attending. Period.
My sister learned the hard way that God has a sense of humor when she decided skipped school one day in high school. She went to the mall and guess who she ran into..................................yep......................my Mom!! My Mom thought it was poetic justice and just took her back to school, I about died from laughing! Needless to say, she didn't try to skip school anymore!
THAT is something that would happen to me. My big thing growing up was EVERYONE knew my father and he marked me good so people can look at me and say hey ain't you ......'s kid? And Lord there went my cover blown right outta the water! It still happens to me as an adult. When I was at the Junction while preggo someone who knows my father seen me there and said HEY AIN'T YOU .....'S DAUGHTER. Ah it brought back memories!!
Here's some sad and scary poetic justice... Me and a friend skipped school once (in 7th grade? memory fails) using the excuse that her uncle died and we were all very close. Guess whose uncle died that day?! Hers! - I never skipped again! Even on "senior ditch day" I stayed in class.
Once I was allowed to miss church to caddy for my grandfather, who came down for the good weather we were having. We ran into one of the church's vestry members at the GOLF COURSE! He says to me "Why aren't you in church?!" Being a kid, I didn't know better and started feeling guilty. Found out later, my grandfather felt like decking him, but didn't. we had a great day!
Holy Cow nsane! That's awful! I never woulda skipped either! Koo, I never skipped either, I just KNEW she'd find out! Small towns will do that to ya! I look just like my Mom too, no denying it! My husband got to laughing one day because me, my Mom and my Grandmother were all lined up at the kitchen counter facing away from him, he swears he couldn't tell who was who from behind.
hehe...I ain't complaining. I think it's pretty funny now! I just thought it was hilarious when someone seen me at the Junction. Just a stranger walking up to me and saying that now threw me for a loop. Yeah for sure I can't hide!
I skipped all the time. Grew up in the "big city" -- very easy to hide. Don't think me parents ever knew. Wish they had...
Look! They now have TWO locations in Clayton and one in Garner. http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?f...n=57DA9B92-7689-4DD3-A9EDA69DEFE341B626281892 (Click the link ^ and read the rest of the blog, I can't post it on here. :roll Oh, and here are the pictures from the last party. http://s120.photobucket.com/albums/o192/eajohnson68/Ice party/

I have two teenage daughters and have refused to allow them to go to these places. My oldest is 18 and very honest about what goes on at these places, although she has never been to them she has heard from other teenagers and wanted to let me know so that I would not let her little sister go. These kids are running in the fast lane and parents need to keep a better eye on them. These places reminds me of my COLLEGE years when 18 was legal, not something you'd want your kids doing. Their growing up way too fast.
