    Folks,
What's been your experience at the Strawberry festival at 4042? What was the turnout?

We might sponsor a booth and I need some data to decide.

    TIA

We had near perfect weather for 2006 and a very heavy turnout. Consistent traffic all day long. I would expect more of the same for 2007 as long as the weather is good!

2006 was my first year. There was a good crowd, weather was great, strawberry shortcake was wonderful. Only downside - I didn't win the laptop 4042 was giving away.

When is it going to be? How do I get the booth info? Any website info that I can check it out?

My work has always participated, & it's always been worth it. Little One likes to play so it's fun for her. I've never worn one hat there, this year is no different, so can speak from a few perspectives.

If I were looking into a booth, I'd check out and see exactly what the sponsorship offers and weigh that against the cost. If you aren't quite sure about something or have questions, ask the Chamber for clarification before submitting your application. If it's worth it, sponsor. If not don't, and just be a vendor there. Will still get you a lot of exposure.

Again, weighing benefits and cost...it has gotten quite pricey this year...IMHO...for the average Joe. I'm hoping craft vendors are still there, but I'm afraid mostly the "regular" businesses will afford to go. That's a shame, as I prefer more of a street fair atmosphere and not a business expo with games-type thing. Personally, I think that if the area supports it, then the Chamber might do well to consider a separate Business Expo like Clayton does.

    Good luck with it!

Hey girl, ^^^ here's their schedule, doesn't look like it!
But they are going to be at the Junction on my Birthday!     HG's 36th may be at the Junction this year!!!!!

H6, we have never participated in the Strawberry Festival, I think it really depends on the type of business you have and what you are promoting. When you do have a booth set up be prepared with "giveaway" type items that can run you a pretty penny depending on what you are giving out to the crowd.;) If you need help with that let me know I can refer you to two people that I use.

I have participated in the Garner Public Saftey Day (FREE for me) every year and got one! Well one lead that turned into business for me. So, it was worth it eventually. :?

Yeah, I saw that on her website...forgot  .

At this rate, I'll never make it out to see her sing! She's scheduled for every weekend Little One is with me.

 . Just wish I could hear them sing. Seems like something always came up last year <cough, cough, DH, cough, cough> and I never made it out. Now that I can make it out, I can't go the nights she's playing.
