Why not call Healthy Pets Mobile Vet? Dr. Sara Lash serves the 40/42 area and comes to your home to care for your pet. 919-329-7387 www.drsaralash.com

She gave my critters the most thorough exams they've ever had.

I'm into the house call stuff - very convenient when it comes to pets...mobile vet, mobile groomer...

Less germs for them to be exposed to and they don't freak out like when they go into a vet's office, cause they are at home in a familiar environment. Plus for people with cats...most kitties don't like car rides, so you don't need to listen to them scream all the way there.

Hey le, from her website and voice mail, it appears she serves Wake County - Dr. Regina Sanders. . .she refers Quail Corners as an after hours emergency vet. . .haven't heard of her before, have you?

Oh and btw...congrats on the new pup - Boston Terriers are cool dogs...so much energy and adorable little mugs on them!

Congrats! The only vet I have heard of is on Stage Coach Road...don't know much about them other than a friend of mine used to bring her cats there, never heard anything bad about them.

Shane, Harley is a firm believer in Dr. Debbie Basden up on 42 in the Food Lion Shopping Center. Her phone # is 662-7387. Congrats on the new baby:-D

Did you by chance get that adorable little female someone was advertising on here a few days ago? :)

I use Stage Rd. Animal Hospital and I can't say enough good things about them. Course, they're probably further away than you want to go.

She was so cute and Sally is an adorable name. I used to have a Pug named Lucy.

    I really wanted Sally's brother! :-D

No zoo, I had not heard of her yet either. Just checked out her website. Guess she was just passing thru Jo Co!

I like the idea of a mobile vet. Have yet to try one but now there are at least three to choose from, that I know of.

If I'm not mistaken, her name sounds familiar.. I think she used to be with Dr. John at Magnolia Animal Hospital on Capital Blvd (heading North, just before the 401 split). She has been wonderful with some of my cats that I've taken there. A few years ago, because itts semi-convenient to my office I was taking cats there to be spayed/neutered because they took the SPCA vouchers. They have had great prices in comparing them around when one of my older babies (she was probably 9 yrs old at the time) had a cancerous growth on her ear. Robinsons & Clayton Animal Hospital gave estimates over $500 for the surgery, and Dr. John was able to work with me and did it for just over $300. SHe is a happy, healthy, pudgy kitty to this day thanks to them. The more I think about it, I'm sure that's her name, she is wonderful with animals.
    :)

edited to add.. OK, just looked at her webpage, and thats definitely her from looking at the picture on the side of the mobile vet unit.

Just be prepared - My puppy wasn't feeling well on a Saturday morning I called as soon as they opened to get an appointment and was told "due to it being Saturday morning and no scheduled appointment there would be an additional charge" - but they could see her. Why this is their normal hours - are at least these are the hours they advertise. I took her to the vets at PetSmart at White Oak - awesome service - very gentle with my 4 pound Yorkie ( she is so anxious about these visits to say the least) But just a heads up if you need them on a Saturday morning (normal hours) you will be charged additional fee, I have owned animals for 26 years and never ran into this problem. Thanks but no thanks to this vet

I know it's a bit further but I can't say enough nice things about Dr. Stacey Beam at Clayton Animal Hospital. We've been using them for 19 years and they are always compassionate and able to work us in for emergencies. Dr. Beam diagnosed and then treated a rare condition in my dog many years ago and instead of losing her at the age of 5 we were lucky to have her until she was 14. Now she is taking care of my new puppy! The other doctors there are also wonderful!
