Involuntary Property Donation Folks, In spite of hiaving it padlocked and chained, with a hitch ball locl, our Tow Master dolly was stolen from behind the house. Nothing else seems to be missing, and we checked the locks on remaining items. Filed the JoCoSD report and insurance claim info. Proof positive that: 1. Locks keep out honest people. and, (B) if someone wants it enough, they'll do whatever to get it. I hope that the person who took it has no plans to sell it or license it, as the VIN was part of the report, and is now entered into NCIS. As soon as someone attempts to register it or obtain a license plate using that VIN....ooops I'd have gladly loaned it out, or sold it cheap.... Here's hoping your karma matches your life choices.. thanks for the sympathy. Perhaps they'll get their just desserts..you know, kind of like buying an expensive car at an auction, putting it on the tow bar, and then getting stopped for a burnt out brake light, only to find that the trailer was stolen, and therefore the classic car gets impounded with the trailer... Now that's karma with a capital K... H6
Ken You are correct, sir. As we had purchased it when we lived in FL, we didn't need a plate on it, as the DMV person I spoke to there said that the vehicle being towed on the dolly needed the license and registration. I took her adivce at face value, and never plated it, but did file the registration with VIN with DMV. The deputy today said that NC requires all trailers to have a plate, and that if someone attempts to register it for a plate..BINGO. Still, I don't hold out much hope for its return. I do have so many other things to occupy me.
I've still got my covered bike trailer..usually haul the Yammie in it, but store the Yammie in garage...Nada in it now...let me knw of you need it. Drop down rear door/ramp...i think it''s 8 x 10...haven't measure it in a while.lol
"Involuntary Property Donation" LOL.... I like that description. Hate thieves though! Sorry for your donation :x
Sorry to hear of your 'donation' Hat. Karma is a great thing. As a wise woman I know says, "What goes around comes around", and it's SO true! Gotta love it!
