Maybe he shouldn't have had a strange wife.

Can there possibly be anything more selfish than taking the lives of children to hurt an estranged or ex spouse? Why couldn't he just kill himself, why did he have to take the lives of his innocent children? Because killing himself wouldn't inflict the pain on her that taking her babies did, that's why.

*sigh* I'm so sick of hearing about people hurting/killing children to get at their spouse/ex-spouse. Too sad.

Can we get a head count here? These things are too close to home.

I'm personally glad the killed himself, this way we don't have to pay for him to be in prison FOREVER!

    Such a tradegy

I see no humor at all in this story. My prayers and thoughts are with the mother and families.

I see no humor either. Even in an attempt to "lighten the mood" this is not the time. My heart breaks for the mother and rest of the family. My prayers are being lifted for them. No matter the situation between the parents two lives that mattered have been lost.

Too good for him. What would make anyone do this other than mental illness or just pure meaness?

It seems there may have been lack of medication issues according to the paper.

That was their address when they were together. The news said she had moved to Clayton and he was in (Wake County) Garner.

    Mr. Stollings,
Do you have a link to the paper where it says that their was a lack of medication?
I checked the N&O and didn't see it there.
    Thank you,
    Emily

What I don't understand is they (news) said it was his day to have the kids. Did the 6 year old not go to school. And if my ex had my kids for the day and I seen his car in my yard, I would think "oh, he brought the kids back early".
I would not think to call the law. Something just sounds wierd. Not to blame anyone cause I only know what I heard on hte news. Maybe the mom seen him there pulled up , shot everyone, then went to call the law. You never know. Her story just sounds weird!

Maybe trying to get sole custody of them so you can alienate the other spouse from their lives forever? I don't know the situation here, but it seems that too many times people just push all the buttons they can find without ever thinking about the possible consequences.
