I have really curly hair...I mean really curly hair (and lots of it)!!! Anyone out there have the same "problem" and do you know someone who knows how to cut it. I have never found someone to cut it that didn't try to straighten it. I don't have time to straighten everyday and the way they cut it doesn't work when it's curly. I finally gave up a few years ago and just cut the length straight across when it gets too long. I would love to hear from any of you that have had positive experiences locally.
Mine is way curly and about half way down my back. So I have lots of it! I go to Jenny @ Radiance (40/42 Beside Food Lion) Her number is 772-0000. My appt is Friday! I can't wait!!!! Tell her HG sent ya
My new thing is to embrace the hair I have. Which mine isn't as curly as HG's I do have serious frizz and thickness issues. Layers and mega thinning is the key!
Curly all the time except for when I get my hair done she straightens it out for me! Very few layers, I don't want it to look like a bush!
The "bush thing" is why I started cutting it myself. You can't go wrong straight across. And with curly hair, if one curl is not behaving I just cut it to fit. Don't get me wrong, I do not look like a freak, most people love my hair. It's just different when it is on your head and you have to deal with it daily...mornings are the worst...go NOWHERE and see NOONE until it is washed. But it needs to be cut professionally once in a while and I am scared to trust anyone. When I straighted it looks like a mushroom. I, too, have decided to embrace what God gave me and stay curly. Thanks so much for your help I will give her a call.
Call Brandi Carroll at Creative (or whatever it is now) at 4042. 773-0404. She has been doing my hair FOREVER and she has really curly hair as well. *Plug* She was also just voted best hairstylist in JOCO for 2007 Good Luck!
curly hair website you may want to check out a website as well.. www.naturallycurly.com My daughter has very curly hair, and I've found a wealth of info on that site. Jan
I've just recently switched to Connie myself, I've been very pleased! I have the opposite problem, very thick and very straight. Not everyone can cut that either, unfortunately. My sis has the curly hair, I'd give anything to have it and she wants mine, go figure! She gave up straightening it years ago, just wears it long to weigh it down. I get a perm in mine so it will have some "bend" to it, otherwise it's like barbed wire and WILL NOT hold a curl for anything. We always want what we ain't got!!
 OMG you have been bad lately! You spending too much time on the road these days or what?! I KNOW.....it's time to put the lips back up! LMAO!
Actually the problem is that I am working from home today and tomorrow, and as you probably noticed, I am not very disciplined.
She has left many a welt on my back in the past. I used to be her saber fencing coach, nothing to kinky here!
Hught, You may now get out of time out. See that you behave yourself! As for the rest of you, thanks so much for your input on my hair problems. I too work tirelessly just to fit my hair through the door. My oldest loves to tell people "you should see what my mom looks like in the morning". And yes, we all want the opposite type of hair than what we have. Though I am glad I do not have to sit through the agony of a perm.
