Anyone know where I can get the best price on topsoil in the 40/42 area?

    TopSoil answer

I used the place on Cornwallis and their topsoil was very dirty, lots of sticks, rocks, roots. I spent hours of my time getting all the junk out to use in my flower beds. Pain in the butt. I was scheduled to get more than 1 load and called them back to say NO WAY. I went straight to Ogburn on 42 and got the rest of the topsoil, very clean. Ever since then, I haven't used anyone but Ogburn. There stuff is only pennies more expensive and much better quality.

    Kaci,

I guess I should have asked about the top soil here and not on the church thread. What's the smallest load I can get?

For delivery, 1 yard - if you want to pick up yourself, you can get as little as 1/2 yard.

agreed. my load had lots of glass, too.

should've read a little more carefully...i think now i'd rather have had kaci's dirt after reading some more.

Oh yeah, depending on what size truck bed you have, you can fit anywhere from 1 yard to 2 yards. Please take into consideration the weight though, screened topsoil is not very light.

That is the one downfall to that business. If you can catch him open is the challenge.

My yard is almost an acre! When you can you deliver that?

More seriously, can you PM me a quote for 1 yard if you deliver? I don't have a truck (oh, gosh, I can't believe I admitted that publicly!) My co-workers from Wake county will be stunned.
