No, I have had issues with businesses and they have responded to both e-mails AND phone calls. Both have been used in this case with NO reply, so why should anyone waste any more of their time trying to be a good neighbor to an organization that does not wish to be a good neighbor itself? Don't you agree?
I disagree. Actual businesses are more professional in dealing with compaints and issues, atleast in my dealings with them in the past. As has been stated by previous members as well as known links of the C3 church unless you are one of the lemmings that happens to be able to fill the larders of the church heavily then you are over looked and beneth those that are in charge. I have yet to run across a company that if I e-mail or call and leave a message concerning an issue with said company that they have not replied with 24 hours.......in business it is all about keeping the customer happy. Well the churches' business is in souls and if they can't respond to one person how are they to cater to thousands of souls they are responsible for? Craig
I agree with you all I am saying is her approach isn't working why not try something different. She is the only one that can control her happiness....
Ever heard of beating your head against a stone wall? Well guess what you and C3 seem to be the stone wall here. Time and again it has been pointed out the problems with the lack of response from said church yet time and again you or others like you have made the same suggestions over and over. Yet time and again it has been point out clearly the options you suggest are not there. Welcome to the stone wall for you refuse to see or acknowledge the reality of it. Craig
She did try something else, she brought it up here to get other opinions and input. If more of the community gets involved there might be a solution where she did not have to use the authorities to get a church to act like a good neighbor. I would have already called the cops if I had been in her shoes, but she seems to be more forgiving than I. That is lucky for the church as the negative publicity would be immediate and as well known as I could make it.
Hello McFly.....we are on page 22 Don't you think it has gone a little past her approach is not working. They owe a response to the community...... Can anybody explain how they can use community as I have been looking at their site for 30 minutes about any charities they support. Figured out pretty quick how to give money online, but based on their "news" section I see two things in 2005 at Christmas and one in 2004. I am certain C2 personnel can explain to this lowly member of the community, why they think they are "community"
I have a dream . . . From www.mattfry.com . . . "Deciding what, how, and how much to give is a choice to be made between you, God, and your family. But, the following list might generate some creative ideas for giving. Cash Flow Giving You can give significantly by giving smaller amounts at higher frequencies. Weekly, bi-monthly, or monthly giving allows large gifts to be reached in smaller steps. Give Online / Automatic Withdrawal Going online to www.c3church.org/page/online_giving is an easy way to give. You can also fill out Automatic Withdrawal forms to allow the church to transfer specified funds on the days of your choosing from your checking account to ours will free you up from hassle and make your giving consistent. Give Up Some Luxuries Some easy lifestyle adjustments can help free up money so you can increase giving to God's work. Maybe you can do without the extra cell phone, cable TV, frequent shopping trips, or magazine subscriptions. Perhaps you can scale back on eating out or entertainment. Maybe you can postpone some big purchases for a few years. Gifts In Kind / Appreciable Assets Gifts other than cash can have significant giving potential. Stocks, bonds, real estate, automobiles, etc. provide ample giving opportunities, coupled with significant tax savings. Income Raises / Bonuses / Tax Savings / Freedom From Debt Dedicating forthcoming raises or bonuses are creative methods for increased giving. Tax returns are a great source of bonus income. Maybe you'll have your car paid off soon and can put the money that you had normally set aside for that toward "The Dream." Charitable Giving Resources If you are already setting aside money to give to various charities, ask God to help you determine if some of that support should go to further the work of God. For example, you may usually donate to a university, and may want to consider diverting some or all of those funds to our church for three years, and then resuming school contributions. Sales Of Assets Sales of major assets, such as a house, car, land, business, etc. can provide revenue for giving."
LET US GET TO THE POINT ABOUT CONTACTING THE C3. THEIR WEBSITE LISTS A CONTACT US PAGE HERE http://www.c3church.org/page/contact THEY HAVE A MAILING ADDRESS A PHONE NUMBER A FAX NUMBER AND EMAIL ADDRESSES. NO MENTION AT ALL ABOUT OFFICE HOURS SO THEY DONT ENCOURAGE SOMEBODY JUST COMING BY. PHONE AND EMAIL ARE LEGITIMATE WAYS TO CONTACT THEM BECAUSE THEY HAVE SAID SO ON THEIR SITE!!!!!!!
WHY IS IT THAT SOME PEOPLE WANT TO MAKE IT WRONG TO MAKE IT PUBLIC????? IF C3 WANTED TO AVOID THIS ATTENTION THEY SHOULD HAVE FOLLOWED UP ON THE EMAILS AND PHONE CALLS. THEY DIDNT AND NOW IT IS PUBLIC!! OH NO!! PEOPLE ARE TALKLING ABOUT IT!!! THAT KIND OF LOGIC MEANS THAT JIM JONES AND JIM BAKER ARE JUST A COUPLE COMMUNITY LEADERS!!!!!!
Ok Contacted Personally Matt Fry Senior Pastor pastor@c3church.org Blog: www.mattfry.com Erin Jones Personal Assistant to Pastor Matt Fry erin@c3church.org Jordan Leino Minister of Worship & Communications jordan@c3church.org Ok, sent an email to all three requesting they come and address the community.
Going back to the original that the thread started works adn can't go there during the day. Don't they have Wed night service that she coudl go to? There is bound to be someone there other than 9-5 M-F. They have 5 services now.
Showing up for the service with a complaint is a bit tacky and creates a bad start for any discourse that must also be limited in time. If there had been a reply setting a meet at a time near a service that would be different, but that would have entailed a response from the church too.
I think there are two correct answers here. Yes the church should have replied to her emails and/or phone calls and by not doing so they are making matters worse. But saying "I work" so I can't talk to anyone is pretty funny too. There are cars there almost every night of the week and crowds of people there all weekend. If my emails were going unanswered, I would walk over one Saturday afternoon just before a service and speak to somebody. I'd like to here more about this. I agree Ken, but its all relative. All of us could give up something to help others, but we don't. Its just like any celebrity fighting against AIDS or starvation in Africa and asking people to give money while they own 3 mansions and a Leer jet. At least they're giving back something, which is more than a lot of others do. As long as they do it with humility, I can overlook some of it.
Still no reply to my email It is now 0850 in the morning and I do not have a response to my emails yet. Wonder if today is the day we get a response or more deleting comments and emails and not responding to the "community" from C2
I hate to jump into this discussion but, what if you waited until the end of a service to approach the pastor. His time is finished and he may be able to sit down with you to talk. He may not want to and then he has serious problems. This is really getting out of hand. I only hope someone in "power" is privy to all of these discussions and will step forward and answer some questions. No one, no matter who they are likes noise in their own home that THEY cannot control. That is the original subject at hand. I'm not suggesting going TO the service, just waiting until it is over and trying to speak to him....unless he gets whisked away and you cannot.
I just went to the C3 websites and I am disturbed. There is rarely a mention of God. They have links to Starbucks and the Carolina Hurricanes. Shouldn't they have a "Do you know Jesus Christ" link? That should be their top priority for someone visiting their website.
