Agree 100% It is admirable to offer outreach anywhere, but it does begin at home. You can reach places within 3 hours drive from C3 that need a lot of support, hope, and ministry. If it were not for the Baptist Men many homes would not have been replaced in eastern NC from various hurricanes. I believe they are still repairing homes from hurricane Floyd. I believe that leadership starts at the top and no matter what has been happening in the last several weeks the "top dog" in the church should be in tune to his community. Just glancing at his blog the only thing I see related to NC besides references to C3 is the Hurricanes and Panthers.
bye bye keep talking like that to her and you may be not survive before webbie gets rid of you. If you had spent any time here at all you would realize kaci is very level headed and respectful!
Pirate, you took the words right out of my mouth. What is with all these disrespectful newbies? Hope he gets banned for that little stunt.
That's fine.... I just think it's funny that you people seem to think that you have changed something. $o what wa$ wrong with what I $aid? were all mature adults right?
Good idea new people should have no say. I should have known only the senior members can post there thoughts....
You need to go back and read the posting rules.............and attacking respected people on here is not the way to win friends and influence people. That's rude, not your "opinion"
Man, maybe webbie could correct spelling and grammer in all the threads. Sure would make some of them a lot easier to read 8)
ladtpopo wrote No,he wasn't,you don't have to be a new poster to get banned ask some of the ones that have already been banned,
wow It's taken me almost 2 1/2 hours but I read it all. There were times I wanted to type angrily and times I wanted to cheer but now I'm just laughing. Now that pepper got her call back, looks like you all have run out of things to say. Funny how our banwagon get's kinda boring after awhile.
i am lost, just logged back on and have no idea what has happened Thank you though Pirate96 for the kind words:-D
I know, you get away from your computer for a day, and what the heck? Anyway, Pepps, I'm glad you finally got a response from the church, and hope you and kiddo are doing well after that accident. All's well that ends well, right? (I know there are still issues with the truck and the other driver, but if you guys are OK that's the main thing.) Thoughts and prayers to the Leino family.
Thank God little Isaac is still holding on, please keep him in all of your prayers, the miracle of prayer is an awesome power.
I know this thread is terribly wrong, but a few pages back a member of the church said that the coffee shop was going to be a starbucks-like business and was going to operate imdependently of the church. The church is basically renting out space INSIDE THE CHURCH for this coffee shop to operate a business. It ain't a fundrasier, lind.
Well I wasn't around then and I didn't know the guy personally. Obviously you did because you seem to be able to interpret what he said and what he meant when he said it. You also seem to know how, when, and where we apply his teachings. Sorry Josey, the only thing the rest of us poor saps have to go on is what he said in The Bible. You didn't happen to have a hand in writing that, did you? Let me just say this. I am not a religious zealot and I do not even attend church on a regular basis. I hate hypocrites! I think this church, like most of what I call "Lazy Churches" are very hypocritical. Picking and choosing which parts of the Bible to apply and which to disregard. This is what they are doing. I've noticed that many of the members end their posts with magnanimous sayings like "It's all for him" and "All glory to him". Well, apparently it's not all for him, as some of the members of this church have told us. And BTW Josey, a strict radical? Never heard of such a beast.
Let's see now....If you have a bookstore inside the church that sells things for profit, does that make the property a place of mechandise? Ummm...YES! Is Books-A-Million a place of merchandise? If you have a coffee shop that sells coffee for profit, does that make it a house of mechandise? Ummm....YES! Is Starbucks a place of mechandise? See here again, this guy must have been with Josey and Jesus because he also knows what Jesus meant when he said and did things. Or perhaps maybe you just think you know.
