It's that time again! On Saturday, April 28, 2007 the Greater Cleveland Chamber of Commerce will hold its 8th Annual Strawberry Festival on Technology Drive (40/42). We are looking forward to this high visibility area! The festival events will include Large Inflatables, Carnival Games (complete with prizes), Arts & Crafts, Family Oriented Activities, Entertainment and Assorted Food Vendors. Many new and exciting plans are underway for this year’s festival. Please note that there are deadlines to submit entry forms for some of the contests. Please visit the GCCC website for full details: http://www.greaterclevelandchamber.com/
Too bad. This was posted yesterday and the deadline for the bake-off was the 30th, and the deadline for the baby pictures is today. Oh well....
Hey Jen it's tomorrow, the 6th! Today feels like Friday though, doesn't it? Long weekend!! Whoo hooo!
You won't miss anything! If it's the same lame ripoff that it was last year you won't miss anything.I attended last year with my daughter and a friend and was highly disappointed. The kids games were extremely overpriced she spent her money and was ready to leave in about 30 mins.
Does anyone know exactly where the Chamber of Commerce is? I am thinking on 42 towards Clayton but does anyone have a landmark what it is near? Also, anyone know what the prizes are for the contests? Thanks, Sharon
The Cleveland Chamber is in the Peddlers Village Shopping Center (Between BoJangles and CVS @ 4042) I hope it's still there anyway.
I drive from 42 east side to go to Smith's. Their strawberries are AWESOME! I also go for the blueberries. (Most of my friends do live near there which is a plus for the travel).
Great..its right down the road from me and have been seeing people there in the last 2 weekends. I will have to try it. Thanks
Note: Deadlines for entires for both the bake off and the baby pictures has been extended to April 13.
i guess it is all in how you look at it, my grandkids had a blast, i had to bribe them to get them to leave last year:lol: i had a great time seeing so many 4042ers - the kids kept getting mad at me and accused me of talking too much:shock: - imagine that:lol:
We had a great time last year, thought it was the best one yet! MM entered the bake-off, and we played in the cash booth, and had an excellent time visiting the vendors!
have any of you had a booth at the festivals? if so, how did it help your business? did you come away with good leads, new customer potential, etc?
I have never been in the 6 years I have been here, nor have I been to the Ham and Yam or Mule Days....I just stay home most of the time. Guess I am going to have to quit being so much of a homebody and try to get out a little more. I seem to miss everything.
