How about if one were to be a member of a Christian church called the Peoples Temple? Would that be better than discussions with a non-Christian? How about if they both offered you a drink as well? ;)

I ususally try to get to know the people and decide if they are good or not. I have found that some of the "Sunday Christians" are the worst "Monday Sinners", but that is just my experience.

What makes you KNOW the difference? If I may ask. How can one tell that from a discussion board. If you do not attend church, what basis can you argue about what to wear to gather in brotherhood and sisterhood on Sunday's? I know it is your job as a Christian to teach others about the bible but you must practice it also in order for people to take you seriously. I think what everyone here is upset about is how you debate that everyone's view is wrong but yours.

I see your point on a lot of things you said but do you even see what others here are saying?

You wanting to know what type of person you are speaking to (in your own words) is a form of judging, correct? You said that you could tell if one was Christian or not. So why don't you tell me, am I a Christian? I am willing to hear you out.....................

    You are very welcome.

The bad thing, here, Ormly, is that while you stand for something, you are constantly pushing others down. Your "King Of The Hill" game is getting old.

It was never disclosed as being kept confidential. I never remember signing anything stating that. Unless it was asked, it was not confidential.

Sorry to burst your bubble, Hught.

Legaly you are in the right, but do you understand why it is called a Private Message?

If you view sin, Adam's trangression, as simply a mistake then churches like c3 can fill the bill. They will help you relieve the pain and tension in your life, brought about by conviction within you that may speak to the contrary.

yes, maybe bisquitville would be a better place to worship.

Why don't you first learn what worship means, Tit? In some churches, perhaps the one you attend, a bisquitville meeting would be more profitable...for that matter, one of their bisquits may even be more profitable.

For what it is worth, I have always been suspect of the more ornate churches, myself. The more show there is the less substance that seems to be necessary. Of course, I also have a problem with the organized religion concept, as well. If there is truly a message it should not require an organization to deliver it, but just a simple connection to the originator of the message. That is just my view on the matter and it hold no firm place in the universe, but the same must be said for most of the organized religions since they all cannot be the one "true" religion. ;)

Lets be honest: You just don't want a God to tell you how to conduct your life. That's the truth of the matter, isn't it?

god didn't make religion or write the bible. men did. my god already tells me, and i understand him perfectly so there's no need for a translator, thank you very much.

Do you believe only you are in possession of the truth, and everyone else is in error?

What???? Surely you don't believe that! God most certainly did establish religion and is the author of the Bible. God used inspired men to write what He would have them say in the Bible. If I write or quote something you said and I repeat it by writing it down or quoting it, does that make me the author of what you said or wrote? I think not! Are you telling me that Moses wrote the 10 Commandments? Again, I think not. He was simply God's "mouthpiece" at the time.
