Got this message from a friend. Thought the solutions sounded pretty good to me! What do ya'll think?
i like it. Can we use the illegals we have in this country now to dig the moat? Can we leave them on the Mexican side when they are done?
Pepper, I love this solution as well. It should be added as the 4th solution to problems above! Great thinking girl!
Got this is my email this morning. I wonder if it is correct? HARSH, YOU SAY ??? BUT, IT'S THE LAW !!! 1. There will be NO special bilingual programs in the schools, NO special ballots for elections, and all government business will be conducted in our language. 2. Foreigners will NOT have the right to vote, no matter how long they are here. 3. Foreigners will NEVER be able to hold political office. 4. Foreigners will NOT be a burden to the taxpayers. No welfare, NO food stamps, NO health care, nor any other government assistance programs. 5. Foreigners can invest in this country, but it must be an amount equal to 40,000 times the daily minimum wage. 6. If foreigners do come and want to buy land that will be okay, BUT options will be restricted. You are NOT allowed to own waterfront property. That property is reserved for citizens naturally born into this country. 7. Foreigners may NOT protest; NO demonstrations, NO waving a foreign flag, NO political organizing, NO "bad-mouthing" our president or his policies. If you do you will be sent home. 8. If you do come to this country illegally, you will be hunted down and sent straight to jail. Harsh, you say ? The above laws happen to be the immigration laws of, MEXICO
So why isn't "What's good for the goose, good for the gander" here in the good ole' USA? I say lets adopt their immigration laws!
Because most of those laws are stupid and xenophobic. Immigration isn't the problem we're dealing with... surprisingly enough we do actually have legal immigration in this country, and quite a few come from Mexico =O
I think the U.S.Govevernment should sponsor a bill that will give U.S. Citizens a bounty on illegals detained. $50.00 Adults. $75.00 Children Hell we can surround Poole road and become Millionaires.
Why is it stupid to want the same laws for our country as they have for theirs? 2. Foreigners will NOT have the right to vote, no matter how long they are here. 3. Foreigners will NEVER be able to hold political office.
The laws themselves are stupid and xenophobic. specifically 2, 3, 4, 6, 7 and to a lesser extent 5. and for 8 just because you're hunted for doesn't mean you're found. Its kind of hard to hunt for someone you've never heard of =P
There are plenty of illegal aliens in our country that lots of folks know exactly where they are and yet they're allowed to stay. Not only stay, but are allowed free housing, food stamps, free education for their children, free healthcare, etc. I have nothing personally against anyone receiving the above metioned benefits if they come here legally and are genuinely in need of such assistance.
Amen xenophobic = afraid of strangers and those not like you. Not willing to play nice with outsiders in your country.
Did you forget this is a nation of "Foreigners"? What is your ancestry? That has to be one of the stupidest comments I have seen.
Yes, the USA is a nation of "Foreigners" whom most of came here legally and became citizens. My ancestry, I'm proud to say is Cherokee Indian, Irish, and English as best I've been told....but what does my ancestry have to do with it?
It has to deal with this exchange! Then you said Which has to be one of the sillier things to come from someone who's ancestors come from another country or countries.
Okay, I concede that point. I guess what upsets me most is the illegal people here who seem to have more rights that those who came to the country legally or were born here.
