Do they still sell sea monkeys? And if so, where? I think it would be cool to get some to show to the kids.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brine_shrimp Probably can by them live this afternoon at the fish store on 4042.
You can get a vial of brine shrimp eggs from some fish stores (call ahead) and hatch them in some salt water. There is a ratio of kosher salt to water that is idea for them, if you've got school aged kids, it is a great science experiment to do with them (try to find the right condition to hatch.) With about 10,000 eggs (not kidding) for about $5, you'll have plenty of room for error.
They usually have them at Target in a kit that has everything for 9.99. We have some right now and they are pretty cool.
Those can't be Sea-Monkeys. I distinctly remember the picture of them in the back of my Boy's Life magazines many years and the mamas, daddys and kids all had smiling faces. Those things are rather ugly.
