He/She does not know. Now I can understand the Boutique part of the name though. At one time they probably had a booth here. http://www.theshopsofbaileywick.com/index.html It appears they thought they could reproduce it in the 4042 area. It is a shame because of their attitude, because a place like a Black Lion would go over well here.
Desserted, I went to your store and enjoyed your product. As a result of my visit I started a thread on your store, I now regret that. Based on your customer awareness and attitude I will not be back.
Oh, the new place. wow, I would not expect a "if you dont like it, go somewhere else attitude" from a business owner. Wonder what business management classes she/he took. Me I will continue going to THE BAKERY BY THE WESTERN STORE BY SMITHFIELDS BAR B Q. Is that the same owner? Because the man that runs that one is sooooooooo nice. He will do whatever it takes to make his customers happy, I always feel so welcome there. I forget his name. I really thought about stopping in that place by shooter's,since it is new, but I think I wont at this point. Unless I hear an apology from this person, and they need to act in a different manner, then I still may not go. I would feel cold going there knowing that is the attitude that runs the place. some advice for this person. FIRST IMPRESSIONS ARE EVERYTHING IN THE START OF A NEW BUSINESS. You know hundreds of people look at this site and dont post. This is not the place to come in and act like he/she has done. JUST MY OPINION. Sorry for any misspellings.
It is in the strip mall with Jersey Mikes. I went in the other day (before all of this started) and the man there seemed pretty nice. I am shocked by all of this from a business owner, it is hard enough to run a business here locally, I hate that their emotions/pride may have just ruined their business. How sad. They need to print this whole thread out and keep it on hand when they want to know why they didnt make it. What happend to customer first?
Old Farts? Beyotch I'm 35 and will NEVER set one foot in your store and believe me ... I WILL LET EVERYONE KNOW what a mean spirited person you are. Clock is ticking.
How old are you 12? As a matter of FACT, I am a small business owner, so now what have ya got? Come on, I've got all day!!!
She/He/It must have been reffering to me, I'm 37.:lol: I tell ya, after reading this thread, there is no way in H E Double Hockey Sticks I would go to this person's place of business if it was the last one on earth! What a way to drum up business, come on a public forum and be rude to everyone.:roll:
Wow, I also stopped in when the first threads were started (so I guess I'm one of the 32) and loved the cake I bought and thought they were nice people. I probably would have been a regular there as much as I love a good bakery, but now I will not be back after reading the comments here from the owner. I cannot support such arrogance and a blatent disregard for our community. What a shame.
Wow - i sure missed a lot in the last few days. i remember reading about the new bakery and was planning on visiting it - glad i took time to read this thread first. One less place i will spend my money - thanks for forewarning us Desserted about what type of place this is.
This is Desserted under a different name-----my other one got blocked B]To everyone who has read and spoken on this subject:[/B] It was a terrible mistake from the beginning advertising in the chat room. I was unaware at the time not to do it and should have read the rules first. I also told others about the discussion room which caused even more conflict. I take full responsibility for the whole discussion. I appologize for eveything that was said. I can assure you it will not happen again.
I read your post. You should have done all this earlier. Do you know how word of mouth gets around??? FAST!!!
ROFLMAO... the reason you got booted was from your 'tude. Yet you come back. Wonder if this handle is still active. Was I the only one who picked up that Desserted and time2dance is the same person. :lol: This stuff cracks me up!
For anyone wanting wonderful baked goodies or bagels go to Big Steve's at 210 (near Dollar General). You will not be disappointed and I promise Steve and his crew are some of the nicest folks around. Be sure to try the chocolate chip bagel with oreo cream cheese . . . uuummmmm! I'd rather spend my money where I am appreciated!
Wow, talk about a thread getting heated up! For newcomers to this board IF they don't read the rules first, it's easy to find themselves in a jam. Unfortunately, many people do the 'when all else fails, read the directions' deal. I don't think anyone on this board wants to see a local business fail, in fact, most of us seek out local businesses for our needs whenever possible. All anyone has to do is read threads for a couple of days and that becomes quite evident. Many of us on here know who on the board does what for a living and seek each other out when needs arise. However, being part of a community, we post on this forum in a vast array of topics and concerns. If you click on a members' screen name and pick the 'find all posts' option, you can see what a particular member has to say about various topics - some opinions you may agree with, while others, not. My point here is, when new members show up and make their first dozen posts and they are all concerning the same subject, their reason for being here becomes quite evident. Members who have been around for awhile have a loyalty to our webmaster and are grateful to have this forum because it is entertaining, thought provoking, informative, and down right maddening - sometimes all at the same time. While we all have telephone books, and are able to surf the net in order to seek out a business to fill our needs; often, it is in our best interest to seek out the opinions and experiences others have had to help us determine which choice might best suit us, rather than take a shot in the dark and hope for the best. Some people are cool under pressure and can handle criticism, or correction, with grace, while others lash out when backed into a corner. That's what makes us human. It might be best to step back and take a deep breath, sit on ones' hands and start anew. Nothing is impossible, even a bridge that has been burned can with time and care, be rebuilt.
Dang, Kaci, we've been away too long! To answer the original question..... Step Ahead Dance Studio (both locations) offers ballroom lessons. The instructor's name is Elizabeth...Tempia, I think. Bad with last names. They're having some sort of open house *maybe* free ballroom lessons during the Strawberry Festival. Don't know all the details. I've watched Elizabeth teach and like her style. The studio number is 662-1143 (Garner). Frogger {disclaimer: I am not the studio director/business owner, etc and have nothing to gain from giving out this information other than to offer an answer to the original question}
*snicker snicker* CYA huh? Yeah, I caught the tailend of it and thought it was pretty darn funny watching the personalities morph. :lol:
FORGIVENESS911 ... I love the new handle. Zookeeper .. you are the example of a lifetime of living and learning. I got a blog on my little posting that said some blogs you can discuss business stuff. Is it possible to start one? And if so anyone got any help on how to do so. Ps. I am not forgiveness911, but am very happy he is a pal. Sorry in helping you get into hot water. I think the best phrase to use now would be"The road to hell is paved with the best intensions" Sorry about the H word and the spelling. If anyone has any ideas on how we can HELP the 4042 area grow please dont hesitate to ask.
