Don't ya' just wish you could ask him where the heck he's been? So typical of male cat! I'm just so happy for you (and him) that he's back home! Best news on this board that I've seen in a long time!
He smelled like mulch.. cedar or pine maybe... but I don't know.. I do wish I could read his little mind and know where he's been for the last 10 days. I can't tell you how many times I cried at the thought of not seeing him again, or how many hours I spent calling and looking for him. He just has no clue how lucky a kitty he is! I'm just so tickled that my "purring monster" is home.
I would have too! I'm so attached to my cats, I'm trying to figure out a way to stash one of them in my luggage for the weekend............I think she'd travel well, but I don't think the inlaw's dog would appreciate it!
I'm so glad he came home. I was just reading this post and was almost in tears. I love cats . . . attitudes and all! Don't let him out anymore!!! Make him stay inside (yeah right). Glad your baby's home safe and sound.
We've actiually gone through several sets of metal blinds, several screens on the back door and currently have a window screen that I need to replace due to keeping cats in the house that want out. Frisky is just not a house kitty unless it's snowing and cold or raining and cold outside. Then he wants to come in for a little bit to warm up (as if the heated cat house on the porch wasn't enough) then wants right back out again. Craig
Some of them just won't adjust to being an indoor cat if they've ever been outside. I worried about that with one of mine, she was a barn cat for about 6 months.........................now she acts like she'd die if she steps on the porch, LOL! The other one has always been an indoor cat and she pulls a Houdini act every chance she gets! I guess they figure the grass is greener too!
Woohoo!!!! So happy for you Tassy and Craig that Frisky is home, i bet you don't want to let him out of your arms:-D
Tassy ~ I am a late reading this, but I am so glad you found your kitty. Not too long ago 2 of our dogs got out and were out all night and gave us a fit...want to guess where my husband found them early the next morning? Would you believe they were laying on your porch? He found them laying there very early in the morning. I about paniced....had no idea where they were only that they were covered in briars and were muddy and scared to death. I do so understand the feeling and am so happy your "baby" is home. Just wish I had seen this earlier and we would have kept an eye out for you.
no problem FF... infact just a few weekends ago I think it was your dogs that got out and way down here on a Friday or Saturday night... I didn't realize they were yours until I had seen them in their pen the next day. They wouldn't get close enough to me to be able to see their tags before they left my yard and went up the street, but they certainly had my dog and the neighbors dogs riled up quite a bit.
Yep..they got out on a Friday night and we were out until almost 3:00 AM looking for them and finially came home and tried to sleep a little. We left porch lights on, the back door slightly open (hubby slept on the couch), in case they came home. I am not sure exactly where they went, but we were back in your area several times and could not find them. I bet we went from the back of this area to 70 by Lowes and McDonalds, up and down Guy Road and Amelia, up and down 43, in subdivisions, you name it and we went there. I think they got disorientated with it being so dark and they didn't know which way to go. If they ever make it back your way, their names are Belle and Chico. I am sorry they got all the animals riled up. They are escape artists!!! Especially the 2 big ones. If the 2 get out together, it is a chore to get them. They do like to ride in cars, so if they see the car, they will come to us. They will get in anyone's car!!
