Maybe you should see another doctor or ask your current doctor for a sleep test? They will do one with a C Pap machine (4 hours) and then also do it with out? A lack of oxygen can cause all of these issues too! And a C pap machine could help!! Also stress can cause all your symptons?? Could that be a factor?
weights lol thats funny! I run to get rid of stress. I am not a weight lifter lol If you saw me youd see thats not a posibility .I have hurt my wrist carrying milk in from my car lol besides I just cracked 2 ribs about 4 weeks ago Im not suppose to lift anything.
I am not saying you have to bench 600lbs. . Just light weights can do wonders to relieve a body of stress.
Did you ever consider that your bed might need replacing? The fact that you were able to fall asleep in the bath, but tossed and turned in bed leads me to suggest that your matresses might be worn to the point of uncomfort.
Well we think alike lol I replaced it 1 week ago so nope not it.I think im thinking to much at night I think about things I need to do the next day things I need to do next week its just thoughts popping in and out my little head .Im sleepy now lol
Do you make lists? It might help to write down everything you need to do, so you won't worry about forgetting, and then tell yourself that you don't have to think about this any more. Just a thought.
Maybe you need to just take some Tylenol PM? Maybe when you're lying down it bothers your ribs? Have you been drinking or taking anything that has caffiene or stimulants?
When I separated from my ex-hubby, I had a hard time getting to sleep because I had so many things I was mad about, that my brain wouldn't shut off at night thinking about them. So a friend of mine suggested something that sounded so silly, I was hesitant to try...but it worked. Each night before going to bed, I'd make a list of the things that I was feeling angry about regarding him. After making the list, I would destroy it. Burn it, or ball it up tight and run water over it until the ink smeared, then throw it away. It was symbolic...purging the thoughts and getting rid of them, but the simplest gestures can make us feel better, and it sincerely worked. :-D And the crazy thing is that after a while, the list got shorter and shorter...so it felt productive.
I don't sleep well either. My thing is mostly stress and worry...I also have the hot flashes! A lot of times I will take a Tylenol PM and go to bed around 9:00, (yes I know it is 10:00, but it has been a very trying day so running late going to bed), turn the lights out, turn the TV on (volume just high enough to hear), snuggle down in the covers and I can usually be asleep within an hour, not a deep sleep, but at least I am getting some rest. I do wake up off and on during the night, (hot flashes, hearing hubby come in from work, hearing the kids going downstairs to get water, etc). It sucks to not be able to get a restful nights sleep. For me, some of the remedys don't work as far as falling asleep (of course I can't stand warm milk too much either), but some of them help me relax a bit. I wish you luck in getting rest! I know it really stinks when one can't.
I can't believe your doctor wouldn't prescribe something forv you. I've always had trouble getting to sleep. All I can say is Thank God for Lunesta.
I don't know about that stuff. The idea of waking up and finding a mutant glowing bug on my pillow just doesn't make me feel the least bit calm and sleepy.
i have a hard time sleeping also, if i could just turn my brain off i think i could sleep better:lol: i have always been a light sleeper so any little noise has always awaken me but for the past few years i think it is just trying to quit thinking of everything i need to do and what stresses are going on keeps me from sleeping all nite. i even tried the old wives tale about counting sheep but it didn't work either:lol: Dr. says it is the perimenapause but i refuse to go on hormone therapy and choose instead to do natural alternatives and it does help. Lately i think it is just because of the ole broken ankle and foot i have not been able to do my regular exercise. Whatever, i really should be asleep right now:lol:
He first prescribed Ambeium(sp) for me and it was okay for awhile, but prancing and running through flowers in slow motion, needless to say other weird stuff, is a dream I would like to stay far, far away from. LOL
I've heard some weird things from other people who've taken Ambien too. I think I'd stay away from that one!
I have been taking "Simply Sleep" and it works great. It is made by Tylenol PM and it is right beside Tylenol PM on the shelf.
I had trouble sleeping about 2 months ago. God rid of my stress and sleep like a rock! Serious note: My BIL had some sleep issues a while back... his DR told him.... Don't watch TV after 8 pm, read a book (not a murder mystery), take a hot bath/shower, tea's are good as long as there is no caffeine and have sex. if you are single and sex is not an option then..... you know what I mean... how do I say this... help your self out!
