Did anyone listen to the automated message from the WJHS principle last night? I think I understood her to say that their were some students who made some bad choices last week and they no longer attend WJHS. I wonder if these kids had anything to do with the threats on WJHS this past Friday. Did anyone else get that impression after hearing her message?

Don't have a kid there this year, but I still get some of the automated messages, and an occasional call informing me that my child was absent that day (maybe because he GRADUATED last June??)... Anyway, I didn't get last night's call, but maybe it had to do with this: http://4042.appcomm.net/4042forums/showthread.php?t=12459&page=3

I did not get a message. I am also the one that posted the other note about not hearing about "things" at WJHS until much later. Was I wrong or do others have the same experience? If I am wrong I gladly retract.

I used to get those automated messages from WJHS before I got rid of the landline, frequently telling me that my child was absent. My youngest child is 41, and he has not been to HS in quite some time. ;) I called the school to try to straighten it out, because I thought the parents of the child they were calling about might want to get the messages themselves. Turns out it's impossible for them to search their database for a telephone number, and Tabitha is such a common first name that didn't help either. So if you know you should be getting those robo-calls from school and you are not getting them, you might want to check your child's records and make sure the school has the correct phone number.

I got the msg too, and yes I felt the same way as you after hearing about it. Ms Honeycutt also mentioned that it was because of fighting or something like that.

When I called the school I was told there was nothing they could do to stop the calls. Your youngest child is 41, huh? Does that mean I'll be getting these calls for the next 35 years, since my youngest is only 5?
