Need to have the homestead pressure washed. Called those on the 40-42 directory for estimates...and wondering if any on the board can also make some recommendations.
We had Tim Lee come out about a month ago to pressure wash our house. He was prompt, professional and completed the job as promised. He power washed a friend's house and she was also pleased with his work. Tim's Handyman Service Home: 919-894-3550 Cell: 919-320-5725 Email: timleenc@aol.com http://www.freewebs.com/handyman66/
I've used Ed Leigh with Under Pressure. He's really good and very reasonable. He lives in the area. His number is 369-6077. As this is his business, leave a msg if he doesn't answer. He's really good about getting back to you! Frogger
I'll second Tim Lee. He powerwashed our house, he did a great job, very reasonably priced, dependable and very courteous. We'll call him to do it again probably this fall, or next spring after pollen-season.
Just curious. Why do you have your houses pressure washed? I would think that on vinyl sided houses that pressure washing would force water behind the vinyl on the sides and into the attic through the eaves soaking the wood and causing rot. I could understand pressure washing brick, though. I've always just mixed up 1 part bleach to 3 parts water, sprayed it on with a garden sprayer, wait a few minutes and rinse with a regular garden hose. Instantly takes away any mold, mildew and dirt.
In past years (every year  ) we have washed the house ourselves. There is a high side to the house that is impossible to get with a ladder and sprayer. That area, the eaves and some other areas required wiping with a sponge, too. Two of us working on it took most of a Saturday. We decided to have someone do it this time to get a real good cleaning ... the house is 8 years old and this is the first time we had it power washed. Tim accomplished in about two hours what it took us a Saturday to do.
