Who went to the stawberry fest?

Crafters.

Everything else was great. I agree with others that it would be nice to see some local crafters, but with that being said, and being a crafter...tell me what you'd buy? Teacher gifts, etc? I saw a lot of crafters sitting there with booths full of stuff with no buyers anywhere near. Maybe crafters could be in one area, and vendors (dentists, etc) could be in another area).

I guess for me being that I have lived in Wilmington for 7 yrs and never missed the Azalela (sp) fest there. People would drive from out of town to go to this. I just loved that they had all kinds of stuff going on and lots and lots of food too lol. It was a all day thing there with so much to do. I know they just had one area that was just for the dance studio's and Gymnastics and stuff like that. They had a kid area as well. Which wasn't expensive for the kids to do. I just thought there was to much of the same stuff at the strawberry fest as far as what little crafts they had. Alot of beaded jewerly booths as well. I do think that getting the local businness out there is a good idea and letting us know they are there. But, that is mostly what was there.

Accually I had no problem with the parking, I'm sure Foodlion wasn't so happy with not having a place for their customers to park lol..but I got right in there and we got there around lunch time.

We got there around 11:30, was great seeing everyone again and had a great lunch with friends at the ClubHouse too:-D Hey kdsgrandma, love the pin, thanks so much - brought up a lot of interesting conversations - now i have it pinned on my purse for future conversations:-D The grandkids had a blast but Nanna is now broke - i too thought the price on the rides was a little extravagant. Last year the bungi ride was $5.00 - went up $2 in one year:shock: But my grandson is addicted to it and has no fear - the workers were great, let him go up and above what is allowed cause they said he was experienced:lol:

 

It was nice to meet your DIL & grandchildren, & good to see you again - too bad we didn't have more time to visit. We'll just have to get together for lunch sometime! :-D
