Woohoo - came out on top again. From what i understand from speaking to a friend of his, he did not want to fight all the opposition the neighbors put forward. Therefore, tonight, he did not even show up:-D Unfortunately since he did not put his request to withdraw in writing, the Board had to table the issue for 30 days but he did put in a call to them today stating he wanted to withdraw his petition for rezoning. Guess we have to wait and see if he puts it in writing but the feeling i got from the Board tonite based on all the people who showed up, the petitions we had, etc., we probably won't have to go again. Just gotta comment, Cookie Pope is great. i was so impressed with her and she does represent the Cleveland Community. Before the session even started she was the only one on the Board that came out and introduced herself to everyone, shook everyone's hand, inquired on their names and really seemed like she cared about our cause. Thanks to all of you who supported us by signing the petition - i knew i could count on my 4042 family:-D Just to make my stand clear, i am not against commercial growth in our area, my husband is in the business, but i just want to make sure commercial area is commercial and residential is residential.
