Don't feel bad. Maybe she is in denial, maybe she was hanging up to call him and get into his a__. You are not responsible for her feelings or actions, only your own. You have a right to not be harrassed, she has a right to a monogomous relationship. If only one of you asserts herself - oh well. You don't have to play a part in it. You can simply choose to rmove yourself from the situation.

 

Also, she only needs to know that YOU are not comfortable with the touchy feely thing. End of story!

I respect your opinion and thinks it great you have a strong marriage too. I just wish others would take marriage with a serious mind. Christianity is a choice, but marriage performed in a church, with a minister of God and christian vows spoken is a very serious matter to most of us christians. So, when someone enters into this venue for any other reason than those I've previously mentioned it becomes a mockery of the institution of marriage. Most marriages are performed with a religious theme or atmosphere. Marriage is the joining of two people "joined in holy matrimony", this is performed differently in many cultures but means the same, "closely joined" to one man and woman. Although you say your not a christian, just the fact that you have been so devoted to your marriage says a lot about the quality of person you are, very good indeed. Alas, not all things are mean't to last forever and I'm a firm believer that lifes to short to spend it miserably and everyone deserves happiness be it married or not. Hope you continue to have a wonderful marriage .

 

No, I don't buy it Craig. If the ad was for a woman to join them, it would be worded differently. Check out the ads on craigslist anyday, and there a ton of each. This man's ad was phrased so that he need something discreet so that his wife wouldn't know.

See me peronsally I'm not out there reading these parts of the board nor Craig's List for this type of crap. Because honestly if I was looking it sure as hell wouldn't be on a public forum such as this or Craig's List.

But everyone on here (women mainly) jumped this guys case because of the posted ad. Meanwhile no one really knows the situation and what prompted the posting.


As I said in my original post I'm not defending anyone here but there are other possible reasons for posting such an ad. One of which has already been shown here that certain people feel a cartain way about marriage and anyone who doesn't happily believe the same shouldn't be married.

Craig, I read ALL the ads in the classifieds, mainly at work when it's slow here.

And as far as judging folks....well look...the way I see it, is if you're married and you and your wife wanna sleep with other folks, fine by me. What grown people do in the privacy of their own bedroom (aside from illegal stuff, you know, kids, etc) is their own dang business. The only problem I have is when you're dishonest. If you're married and you want to sleep around, you owe it to your spouse to be honest. Don't be bringing any diseases back to me because you couldn't keep your snake in his cage. That's my only point.
