Okay you 42ers I need a very simple recipe for punch to serve to 500 people. Don't want to have to freeze anything or add ice cream to it. Just mix and serve would be great. Any good recipes out there? Oh and it's for kids and adults so no alcohol is allowed.
I was never in any shape to remember it, but what was the recipe for "Purple Jesus"? Everclear, Hawaiian Punch and a virgin Garbage Can?
In summer school last year for graduation, we made a punch with the pinkish color HiC and ginger ale. Some of the HiC's were frozen before hand just a bit to get the "slush". Very easy recipe.
CHEERWINE PUNCH 3 (2 liter) bottles cherrwine 2 (46 oz.) cans unsweetened pineapple juice have chilled and pour into bowl! it is so good and simple! this makes about 40 cups or so and is so good! People are always asking for the recipe after I make it! Too Simple!!! Cheerwine is a NC only drink ( I think it is still NC only) but so good! We serve it all the time!!!
That sounds really good and easy and i bet it looks good in a punch bowl - gotta remember this for our next get together - thanks.
Um Hught sir, she said no alcohol. LOL Love that stuff though! We call it "PJ aka Party Juice", and we use fruit in it too. YUM!
Wow! Thanks everyone. I think we'll go with the Cheerwine Punch unless someone posts anything that sounds better. This one sounds great, is definitely easy enough, and it's original. Thanks for the recipe Dawn!
This weekend we went to a second chance prom to raise money for Relay for Life. They made this punch, and it was just cranberry juice and ginger ale mixed together. I don't really care for cranberry juice, but this punch was really good. Just one bottle of ginger ale, and one large bottle of juice. As for the PJ, I had one experience with it, and have very vague memories from that night.
Good punch: *Frozen sherbert (lime or pinapple) *Frozen cans (about 4 or 5, total) of Five Alive juice, pinapple juice, grapefruit juice, orange juice, cranberry juice, frozen lemonade, etc. (whatever combination you want, as long as it's a blend of flavors & zippy tasting) *Sprite, Ginger Ale, 7 Up, etc. (I bet bubbly grape juice would be good, but I haven't tried it, yet)(soft drinks are cheaper) I just 'eyeball' the amounts. Usually about one large thing of sherbert, 4-5 cans of frozen juice and 1 two-liter bottle equals one "set"...just keep multiplying the "sets" until you get an amount you need.
Found this: A recipe converter to feed a large number of people... http://www.thatsmyhome.com/recipes/converter.htm still looking...
doh! never mind. I had it in my head yiu needed t o swerve 500 people. don't kmow where it ccame from. Ok. Mayve it s coming from the ambiem... nite nite,
yeah it is yummy!! and when you have time to make it "fancy" for a shower or something like that we cut Fresh Pineapple in 3rds and throw that in the bowl and we take cherries with the stem and feeze them in the ice cube trays with water and that helps keep the drinks cold and makes it look pretty! LOL

It was really good and I would definitely use the recipe again. I might even try adding the Cheerwine Sherbet to the pineapple juice the next time!
Hawaiian punch and 7-up. When I make mine, I add either Cheerwine sherbert or Raspberry sherbert. Kids (and even the adults we have had over for graduation) loved it and I did not have any leftovers either
