Got this message from a friend today. I figured this was as good a place as any to share it given the direction of this thread.

 

Amend the Constitution. Have it where immigrants from any country and their children are not eligible for any public assistance during their lifetime.

 

Ummm, it appears you've been indulging in the same thing your namesake did. What in the world does philosophy have to do with my actions. You know nothing about my actions, only what I've written on this board. I really think you need to get back to reality and figure out what you stand for. And, like KD (another proud liberal), you've completely avoided the Dianne Fienstein question. Until you're proud enough to stand up to corruption, you're just another weak-minded drone of the DNC.

 

I saw on the news earlier (was at the gym-don't know what channel) and they were talking about how the democrats are saying that the new bill is too harsh on illegal aliens. I about puked.

The news about the illegals really ****es me off. I am a veteran of the Armed Forces and while stationed in England met the woman of my dreams. We got married and I went through all of the paperwork and money to get her a visa so she could come back to the US with me when I came back. It seems as if I had just flown her to Mexico and drove her in we could have had many free services at our disposal. Silly me!

 

There are plenty of "conservative" Republicans to blame too.

Not getting into gossip, so I have no intention of answering MS's questions about that. But I think I can comply with his request to name 3 things, besides the minimum wage, that the Dems have accomplished since they took over the Congress.

1. Fully funded the recommendations of the 9/11 commission, a bi-partisan commission that made strong recommendations to improve our national security.
2. Repealed billions of dollars in unneeded subsidies to oil companies, and applied the savings to alternative energy programs.
3. Passed a law allowing Medicare to negotiate with pharmaceutical companies, like the VA does, to get lower drug prices for seniors.
4. Passed a bill to fully fund the needs of the military in Iraq, plus a timetable to give the country back to the Iraqis.

Oops, that was more than three. Sorry. :lol:
