G105 listeners - I need Bob info......

Until there is radio stations like www.96x.fm


and www.mancow.com in the morning Bob will do just fine.

 

They have had stations from out of state copy Bob!!

 

Bob actually hired Amy from Mancow, so I am not really sure that is Mancow copying Bob. 96x in mostly modern rock, so I know G105 is not a copy or 96x a copy.


For here Bob is da man. But Mancow still rules

 

I had actually joked about 2 weeks ago when Bob first went out that he was getting a lobotomy....

I guess I wasn't too far off!! ROFL

Seriously though, I do wish he and his family the best and a speed recovery. I am sure it was a scary time for Lou and his girls.
It was good to hear him back on the radio, even though I haven't been a regular G105 listener since Madison left.

 

As a 10 year radio verteran, Bob Dumas hasn't had an original bit on his show. He has stolen crap from Andy Savage, ManCow, Opie and Anthony, the old Zoo Crew, Chick Boozer from Charlotte and the like.

If you are worth your salt in Radio, you move on to a bigger market. This is a Rising/Falling Star Market. This is not a destination. Considering I live in the only other Radio market worse than Raleigh, calling Bob a hack is actually saying something.

He is a very mediocre fish in a very small radio pond.

Things I would listen to before Bob and the Showgram:

Cats ****.
14 hours of Lectures on the pro and cons of dust mite collection
Ashlee Simpson Sing
DevilLock play a tube sock strung between two cans. (Twice)

 

Well evidently David that shows how out of touch you are. They are number one in this area. I guess there are more of us who do like them and less of you. Ah but the power of one. You intellectuals kill me.

 

They have been number one. Big Deal. The Triangle wouldn't know Good Radio if God Himself came down from 5-9am M-F.

the reality of what david says is true.... a medium metro market like this you either move on from or you're not special enough to get an offer....not everyone is a major market star though... you can't argue with the fact that he's popular here... I don't get it though...

I am not originally from the south but I have been here over 40 years. And surely you aren't using the word intellectual in a denigrating way merely because I don't care for the showgram?

 

lol. No offense. But I can usually tell when someone is not from around the Carolinas and south. Our sense of humor is more along the lines of slapstick idiotic humor. We usually tend to stray from Dry Wit because it is not funny to us. Bob is funny to us. I get it. I am sorry it turns some of you away. To me it's funny and entertaining. Mike and I are pretty good friends and we talk when he gets a chance to get away from the show. We try to keep in touch since I have moved away. He will call me now and then to hit me up on a technical question. Bob and Mike both are really just fun to be around. I guess it's because we all share a common bond being from the south. Not that it is a brotherhood but more of understanding points of view. We tend to not take life to serious and we enjoy cutting up. So I guess that's why sometimes the things I say on here offend some but seems to be funny to others. Anyway. That's my point of view. I know I offend some. It isn't intentional. I am just mental.

 

to each his own dude... John Boy and Billy are local born and bred Carolina boys and no one will ever accuse them of being intellectual, but they are much more enjoyable than the showgram IMO, so there you go.

And I thought most people here considered me a dub azz... so I'm just preening at being called an intellectual. I knew that GED would come in handy one day.
