I feel somewhat qualified to say that this woman has completely lost her mind! New Jersey Woman, 60, Gives Birth to Twin Boys http://wral.com/news/strange/story/1436901/
I only have one, I am 36 and STILL think she's out of her mind.......................but before anyone flames me, I guess to each his own! Better her than me!
I am 42 and have 10 year old twins......She truly has completely lost every marble in her head. I wish her all the luck in the world, once they become mobile.
I know I read this ealier and thought...at 60; I want to be retired, sitting at my house on the beach and enjoying my grandkids during the summer. Heck, I didn't want any after I turned 30; much less at 60!
I hear ya! I had my now almost 3 yr old daughter at 34 way after I thought I was done! Just when I had the older two pretty self effcient, boom, I had anothere one and had to start all over again. lol Glad I wasn't 60 though! lol
Yep yep... I wanted to be done birthin' babies b/f I was 30 too. Finished that race in the nick of time! SHEEEW!
I cant even imagine having babies at 60. On another note. My best friend in Seattle has a 21 year old, a 10 year old, and a 2 year old. Wants more.. Her 21 year old has a 1 year old. She is my age (37) makes my blood pressure rise just thinking about it.
All I know is, God gave us menopause for a reason! I don't know that our bodies were meant to be pregnant that late in life. But again, it ain't up to me, thank goodness!
Yep, My best friend is 33 and has a 15 yo, 14 yo, 12 yo and 5 yo....so glad it's not me..I couldn't take it! She wanted to have another one after the 5 yo and her DH said He!! No...LOL
and God gave us tubal ligation too. and for that, I am thankful. This gal knows when to say when......
Those of you who know me know that my DH and I have 9, yes nine, children. He had (4 living with him) and I had 3 when we got married, so we had 7 all together. Well to make a long story short, we had 4 in college and the youngest had just graduated from high school in June, when our next to the youngest was born in August. (We had been married 6 years when he was born) He is now 13. Exactly one year and 16 days later our youngest was born. She is 12. Needless to say our son was a surprise and our daughter was a SHOCK! I was 41 and 42 when they were born. Our kids range in age from 42 to 12! We have 9 grandchildren, one greeat-grandchild, and another grandbaby due the first week of June. I wouldn't trade our family for anything! They all live locally and Christmas, birthdays, etc. are wonderful at my house! But would I want to have a baby at 60? Not if I could help it. It's my understanding that this lady used someone else's eggs so this was a planned pregnancy. Can't imagine planning one at 60. I just hope I live to see my two youngest ones grown and married! I'm 54 now and will be 55 soon and know I don't have the same energy level that I had just a few years ago! I say more power to her if that's what she wants, but I'm not sure it's fair to those kids if she's not able to keep up with them or worse, if she's not around to see them grown. Sorry for the long post!
I did it as soon as they were done extracting two babies....I didn't want to take any chances. LOL---I tell people all the time I been 'neutered'.
It sounds like you have a wonderful family girl!:-D Even though my 3rd one was a surprise and having her totally changed my life, I wouldn't change it for the world!
