I am looking for some new recipes to add to my rotation. I know that the 4042 community has some "you gotta try this" delicious recipes that you make in your own households. No one ever posts anything in the Recipe section of this website. Please share your recipes!
Ever eat at Panera's? Make one homemade in your own home! Get the panei bread hot presser at Linen N Things for $34 (with coupon from Sunday's papers) and use that to make your own hot sandwiches (your choice - could be turkey/swiss or ham/swiss, whatever) for less than 5 minutes. Like Panera's onion soup? Get Swanson's low fat/sodium beef broth (canned) and there's a recipe for onion soup. The only thing I leave it out is white wine, since we don't like alochol.
If you want to make a panino. The simplest thing is to just get a grill pan and a grill press. Will last for hundreds of years compared to an electric doohickey. Cook's Illustrated/America's Test Kitchen did a brief on them Sunday.
