our phone? We have Vonage (VOIP) whenever we get or place a call, we can hear the person the other end loud and clear, but that person only hears static from us. We've tried other phones to see if it is the phone we're using and get the same results. Any ideas?? :?

Not an IT Geek, the wife is, but are you having any problems with your Internet, I am thinking it is between the end of your phone and the cable (Cable modem or router). Our Vonage is doing great.

P.S. Tomorrow we might find out how long Vonage as a company may be around.

Tomorrow they are providing their latest financials, they have lost money for the last 4 quarters, their stock has plummeted, they are reeling from the patent loss that is on appeal with Verizon.

We are happy with them but are waiting to hear what their plans are before we make the transition to another voip provider, before we are forced too.

Internet is doing fine. We get our voicemail messages with no problems and can hear them fine. It is just other people hearing us that is a problem with either incoming or outgoing calls. We tried 4 different phones and had the same problem with all of them. Guess I need to contact Vonage...

I have Vonage and when those problems happen it is because I'm downloading a bunch of stuff on the computer. As soon as I kill all downloads it works fine. You can try limiting the bandwidth on your computer with the router or actual programs.

I haven't heard anything from Vonage about alieving? customer's fears. I don't want to lose my phone number if they suddenly go out of business.

We weren't downloading anything, weren't even on the computer when it was having problems, so  as to what was wrong with it.

You can try turning down the bandwidth that Vonage uses.

We have Vonage and that happens to us...my friends know just to wait it out, that I'll be audible again in a minute. It's bad when it happens on a business call.(yikes)...Sometimes I'll go weeks and weeks, no problem, and then it'll happen again. Oh, well, my phone is still WAY WAY cheaper now than when I had Sprint (thpbth!)
