But it's the prosecutor who drove the investigation -- and not the three players he accused of sexual assault -- who will be the defendant. The North Carolina State Bar has charged Mike Nifong, the district attorney in Durham County, with several violations of the state's rules of professional conduct. All are tied to his handling of the lacrosse players' case. If convicted, the veteran prosecutor who has worked in Durham for his entire career could be disbarred. Nifong is expected to testify at the trial. Among those expected to watch from the gallery of the courtroom are Reade Seligmann and Collin Finnerty, two of the once-charged and now-cleared players. Several of the defense attorneys and family members of the three players are also expected to attend. I DO!
I DO TOO!!!! And I think they should allow the Lacrosse players that were accused to smack him in the face with their Lacrosse sticks!
If he's found guilty, then he should be disbarred. Unlike Nifong, though, I'm willing to wait until the verdict is in.
I think he should be marched downtown Durham in "Black Face" make up and have some politically correct sign on his chest.
I don't really care. I am so tired of hearing about this duke thing. ugh.. no disrespect to this thread, just telling how I feel. Maybe all the parties have learned a lesson about this whole thing. To be sure they all have. I still don't think all the details about the party are out, I think there are some things not being told. Party got out of hand. learn and live. :-D:-D:-D
