My son just bought his first car, (with his graduation and birthday money, a 1980 Chevy Monza) and for insurance purposes we are going to put the car in my husband's name. I am a notary, but cannot sign his name because we are married. Any of you close to Clayton to where I might be able to get you to notorize the title? I appreciate it very much!
Have him google h-body for all the info you could ever want on the Monza/vega/astre/skyhawk/starfire line. Just curious, does it have 4 headlights or 2 ?
I almost bought another vehicle last week... till the woman told me she wanted ME to pay for a mobile notary to come to her house.
It has 2 headlights. Don't have to get it done this weekend, but this coming week sometime. The person selling the car has already signed the title, so we just need to get our signature notorized. You can go to any bank or financial institution. They all have notaries. I've never been charged, or even asked if I have an account.

Also, you say that the seller has already signed the title- I hope they got that signature notarized, because that's all you are really notarizing when you notarize a title transfer- the fact that the seller is "releasing" the title to the buyer. You will need to have your signature (as the buyer) notarized when you submit the title for title transfer into your name- but they can do that for you at DMV- all of the DMV clerks are notaries. Kel
J1G is right. The seller has his signature notarized, not the buyer. The following is excerpted from title transfer on the NC DMV web site.
