While BJ's is a membership club like Sam's Club, They will sell gas to non-members at a slightly higher price per gallon. Sam's will not sale gas to you at all unless you are a member, much like the fact that Sam's won't let you in the door if you are not a member. Craig
BJ's gas, she's probably helping let those who are members knowor anyone else for that matter, one should know if ones a member or not and therefore not need to reply as such about the membership. As of late they are offering a free 60 day trial period, you can pick one up at the customer service desk.
On the other hand, Wal*Mart will sell their gas for .03/gal less then the posted price, if you use a Wal*Mart gift card. And you can get a gift card without paying a $45 membership fee.
In all honesty if all you are using your membership for is gas then yes it definately is not a deal. However if you use it like the wife and I do then the membership pays for itself in a month easily. And since we are up that way every week or so it makes sense for us to fill up there. Craig
Yep, I get some good deals in BJ's! Got 4 whole chickens for $6.00 the other day! The gas prices are just a plus to me. I didn't join for the gas, but I definetly get it there if at all possible!
to get the propane tanks for the grill refilled there is a deal compared to the Blue Rhino trade-ins ... I just paid $12.99 vs. $17.99. Last time I got one filled at Lee's I think it was about $15 or $16. Not to say the price doesn't vary some, but I try to keep an eye on those prices as I get my regular gas there.
BJs is a great place to buy your tires, the price includes everything, no hidden cost, free rotation/balance for the life of the tires, also have cheap price on oil change.
So far i have been pleased with the new gas station on guy and Amelia ch rd. Cheap Gas, and they sell Rockstar which is one of few who sell them anymore and i absolutely love rockstar. As far as tires, Discount Tire on Six Forks is the place they do you right.. or at least in my experiences they have got me the best deal
I have to agree on the tires, we looked at BJ's since I have the membership there. But when I went to Discount Tire and told them what prices I found at BJ's, they gave me a better tire and beat the price. I have no complaints about Discount Tire and I use the one in Knightdale since its close to work for me.
Gas was $2.79, mostly, in Wilmington this weekend. So....speak up! What are the gas prices today everywhere? In the Cleveland area, on the trip to work, in Raleigh, RTP, etc. Who has the best prices and where are they? Frogger <Don't get gas at 40/42 on the McDonald's side. It's ALWAYS cheaper across the overpass>
I bet it will go up this week with 4th of July coming up next week. My son has an "overpass hypothesis of gas prices" that it will always be cheaper on the side of the overpass past the highway. My comment was, "Doesn't that depend on the direction you are coming from?" (ending in a preposition...lol). Anyway, the hypothesis has been tested repeatedly and only supported sporadically. yes...we are ALL geeks....
