I should explain a friend of mine has a private account she wanted to know if I thought she could get mail if she was private and I didn't know and didn't want to get a account of my own just to email her for a 1 time trial lol but thanks for the info .She thought since she was private nobody could email her or see her profile and I guess they can anyways.
If she is set to private, they cannot see her profile, BUT they CAN see her picture, her name, age, location, and url. That comes up along with a white screen that says something like 'User has private profile....' etc, etc.
Oh she said she gets email and is on private so I didn't understand how that was so I know nothing about myspace . I told her to make sure she is on private maybe shes not .She said she gets emails from people she dosen't know . she said she is on private she checked. So I guess they can email her she sid nobody has im her though.
I'm sorry its not email its messages lol I'm a nit wit she said something about her inbox being full and they are called messages .Shes comeing over to my house tonight I'll see what she means . I can not message her I don't have a myspace she says anyone can though.
Its normal to get messages from people that she doesnt know, I have a myspace account and I get messages and friend request all the time from random people. I recommend that if she doesnt know these people just delete them, dont open them because sometimes it can be hackers. My profile is set to private and it still happens!
Well now that I think about it you can set it to a very private setting but people have to know your last name or email address to send you something, is that what you are talking about Grace?
