How long does it take for the medicine to work. I know some take a couple of weeks for changes to be noticed.
Immediately. Each pill works for up to an hour - absorbs 1/4 of the fat you ingest and they suggest meals have less than 14 grams of fat. I've stuck with that part as I work on the road for the most part. You can literally take the pill when you take your first bite of food, or up to an hour before you plan to eat a meal containing fat. So, if you are just going to have a fruit salad for lunch, you wouldn't take the pill, cause there'd be no fat to block. You don't feel any different - there are no speed type drugs, nor appetite supressents, fillers or any other such thing - it's just a fat blocker.
Zoo, do you know or does it say in all the literature if you can take other supplements with ALLI? like other appetite suppressants/metabolism boosters?

I don't know, I still can't get past the oily discharge with lots of gas. The Shout and other stain remover companies are loving life right now. Better stock up on the stuff, soon there will be a major "run" on those products. Sorry, couldn't help that one, it just came to me while I was typing. I believe I will just stay my old fluffy self for a while. I do agree though, if you just cut out your fat at every meal, which you will have to do with this anyways, you will lose weight, and you won't even have to mess your pants in public.
weight loss Keep us posted on the weight loss results! I have been doing 30 min. on the treadmill for a couple of weeks now...I have cut my food intake in half, and I am eating the right things....still NOTHING. The scales say the same thing, my clothes are still fitting the same....so frustrating...a pound or 2 would be nice! I know all about gaining muscle...blah, blah, blah....I just want to see some results!
Try counting calories for a week and see what happens. Multiply your current weight by 10, and then subtract 500. That's your calorie limit per day. (Don't go below 1000 though.) I was in a diet study at Duke University. In addition to wise food selection, the nutritionist was teaching us to eye-ball portion size. The people in the group who tried the eye-ball route, failed to lose weight. The people who weighted/measured their food and recorded calories, lost weight fast.
weight loss I will try it! How do you know the calories in everything that you eat. Tonight I made pork chops and steamed zuchinni(Spelling???) with rice. I can figure the rice because it had a package...what about the other things?? How do you know...is it a resonable estimate?

I weigh foods using a scale I bought from Weight Watchers. A postal scale will work too. And I get calorie counts from the Fat Book. (Any calorie book will do, but I like to track my fat grams also.) And I get McDonald's calorie counts from their web site. (Shocking!) Took me some time, at first, to get used to looking things up. But after a while, I discovered I tend to eat the same things. So I could refer back to a prior day.

OK. I'll give it a try. My track record is bad - I have trouble getting past the 3rd day on program. But if you'll still love me, even if I fall off the wagon , then I'm in.
Nope. Tried it, but don't like Weight Watchers at all. What worked for me, was the Duke research study back in 2001. It was a comparison of the Adkins Diet with the American Heart Association Diet. I was randomly assigned to the AHA group. Lost 26 pounds in 6 months. (About average for the group - I cheated some times ) Unfortunately, after the study was over, I stopped the diet. And in a year, had gained back all the weight, plus 10 pounds.
I'm in :mrgreen: Goal was to be at 120 by this Friday - was at 121.5 this am. I'm NOT counting calories, but certainly need motivation for working out
