I know this may sound like a silly question, but does anyone know where I can rent a portable or even AC window unit, for a couple of weeks. Our ton and a half unit went out for the upstairs & a new one is going to cost about $3000. It will be 2 or 3 weeks before we will have enough saved to get it, but in the mean time, I'm just looking for something to cool about 750 square feet until then. We're just not wanting to spend $300.00 on something we will use for maybe 3 weeks. I didn't know if there was a rental service out there for this. I have checked with E-bay, Craigslist, even for used ones to buy and no luck. The one's on there have either been sold or are to far away. Any suggestions?
