just had to share the great experience my hubby and i had at chops!!! we've dined their several times for a late lunch/dinner and just have to mention how consistant they are with service and quality of food. we are always happy with service and are recognized with every visit. in the last 6 months we've been their about 4 times, i think it is really great that they recognize us with each visit. i'm really impressed. today,we where their for a sunday brunch and again recognized and the food was great!!!! brunch is affordably priced. all other times prices are higher, but we don't do much else and certainly don't mind paying for great food and great service. they also offer a full bar for those who are interested. they are local .... nothing can beat great food, with no need drive the distance for the quality all around if you haven't tried it, i suggest going their at least once for the experience i know we will continue to dine at chops!!!!
Do you own the place? I have been there 3 tmes, first was good, 2nd was bad, 3rd was awful! I won't be going back!
That is funny, I hate to say it but I was thinking the same thing!! The first we ate there it was pretty good, second time was so so and the last time it was a last resort and I think I would of been better off stopping and eating a snickers bar and mt dew
I've been to Chops at least 2 dozen times in the past year and a half and have NEVER gotten stuck with poor service or a bad meal.
there is nothing that can be said here that doesn't create a confrontational response from someone... it's as dependable as death.... hilarious...
What I find odd is that if you go back and search I'm sure you can find atleast 2 or 3 topics concerning the service and or food at Chops that have been posted over the last year or two. Both good and bad. And that while my personal experience was a far cry from good much less great, that I am sure others have had great service and food. And that is what the board is for, letting people know what and how you feel about certain things. Be it good food, bad service, or someone's thoughts on what type of underwear is the most comfortable during the summer months. Craig

but it's not the informative aspect of the place that's so attractive... it's the warmth of the responses and the true feeling of camaraderie. It's a bonus.
So seriously, i heard through the grapevine that they had recently had an almost total change of staff - are any of you guys employed there? Not being mean or anything, just curious. This is the first time i have ever seen a Chops thread in the past couple of years where there was so much positive feedback - maybe the staff change was for the better.
Kinda have to agree with Kaci. Usually the Chops threads are one positive post and 40 negative posts.
We dined there about a month ago and the cook even came by our table to check on our meals! In previous visits, we were lucky to see the server after she dropped the food on the table. The food has always been good and seems to be reasonably priced as well. I would say the service was lacking before I complained about any entree I have ordered.
Chops..... I truly wish it was good. It would be SO convenient for me (I live less than a mile away). I've tried it twice and been dying to get out the door both times. Food, service, prices and atmosphere were HORRIBLE (believe me, I am easy to please). I dont know that I would ever go there again if they were giving away $1000 bills @ the door.
We went once...... Food I'll say OK....... service was fair at best, but the price was what killed it for me. After tip it was $89.00 for 3 to eat dinner. That was with my then 4 YO son. I can't see paying that much for that. I grew up with my mom working as the Banquet Manager at the Angus Barn. Chops doesn't even come close.
