The only think they misspelled was "call's" (should have been "calls").

I don't think you can count "thanx" as a misspell, since it is a somewhat acceptable "slang".

I would agree that typing everything in lower case wasn't quite appropriate for an advertisement, but in the i-world it, too, is somewhat acceptable (and definitely better than all caps).

    So, what's your complaint?

Punctuation, no caps etc .... I agree very unprofessional. But most computer geeks can't write.

No offense meant, I just have first hand experience... I married my man 22 years ago when he was just a hacker... Now computers pay the bills, but he is lucky if he can spell his own name.

He develops web pages etc for work and asks "How do you spell...." constantly. (thought that was what spell check was for) I was an English major turned Elem Ed, so we are a funny pair.

I actually bought a computer from him at a great deal, and I can tell you that he is very intelligent. Also, if you noticed, he places an ad on 40/42 about every 3 days and he stays very busy with phone calls from people asking about his computers. I saw that first hand. I see the point you were trying to make but before being so judgemental on individuals, try to understand that he probably does this (placing ads) so much, that he doesn't have to care how professional it looks, and probably if he wouldn't get as much business as he probably is now, he might would put a little more thought into his ad.

Maybe he's just using old parts and trying to make some money doing what he loves?

I could be wrong though, which has NEVER happened!

I've done business with him also...

    He knows his computers...

I don't see what is up, it isn't a completely heinous ad... I've seen worse in emails from mgmt back in my working days...

Ironic though, in trying to blast this guy the original poster just gave him some testimonials from satisfied customers....
