I don't remember ever seeing this topic posted here before, it'll give us something to talk about. What's your opinion of Syvlia Browne? For those of you who don't know, she's a psychic who regularly appears on the Montel Williams show. Her website is sylviabrowne.org.
I think she is very interesting It gives me the chills when they show people who use her for unsolved murder cases!!

They are probably banned from playing the lottery and being in casinos, I know that David Blaine isnt allowed to play games at casinos in Vegas.
Wow, i didn't know she was still on TV - i haven't seen Montel Williams in i cannot count how many years - i did enjoy watching her though back in the day - will have to check it out again - how often is she on the show?

I'm kinda on the fence about her. My mom is a fanatic. As a matter of fact, they are going to see her tonight in Charlotte. I think she has a gift, but then I read some of her books, and I don't know....she just creeps me out a little. For me as a Christian, it's hard to believe what she has to say when her books contradict the Bible.
Like i said it has been many years since i saw her and then it was only a couple of times, have never read any of her books - now i gotta check it out tomorrow to see exactly what she is all about.
Well, the thing I think that bothers me most is that she wrote that Christ didn't die on the cross. She says that he actually faked his death and moved away with Mary Magdelan (sp) and died at around age 86??
:shock::shock::shock: - i truly hope she does not claim to be a Christian - now the appeal to see her has vanished - not gonna waste my time.
Yeah, she does, but some of her views are far from being what you and I would consider "mainstream". You should read some of her stuff....she says that everyone goes to heaven, there is no hell, and that once you get there, everyone in heaven is about age 30.
Honestly, and maybe someone who is a bigger fan can interject here if I'm wrong, I think she gets all this "information" from someone she says is her spirit guide, Francine. I found another website while I was doing some research on her stopsylviabrowne.org, that debunks a lot of what she says. Like I said at first, she is talented, she gets a lot of stuff right, but she freaks me out when she gets off the psychic stuff and starts talking about God.
So, you are going to base your opinion of her on what someone else said she said? (No offense JenniferS) Personally I don't believe in those that claim to be mediums. I've seen (and heard about) some strange things in the world, too many to be just flukes. But I haven't found any of those who would use a "gift" to try and make a buck who wasn't at one time or another proved to be a charlatan.
