Cleveland Post ... why is it?

Why is it C3 always gets front page ... huge articles ... whenever they have news in the Cleveland Post? I've not seen any other church nor local activity get SO much front page press! I'm not bashing C3!!! ... just wondering out loud as there appears to be some inbalance in how the Post reports local events.

 

There was a big article in the Clayton News Star this week too. I don't care, just saying.......................8)

 

Maybe C3 submits information to the Newspapers. It helps fill the pews. Do you know of other churches that submit information to the Newspapers and it does not get published? Their addition is a big deal for this community.

C3 sends the article already written to the post as a press release. The post has to do zero work so they put it in...its quick fill and already done... they would do the same for other churches i am sure as long as they weren't required to actually "cover" the event themselves...

I am a member, but im not going to put some long free advertisment for them on here.

 

There is also a front page article this week that I submitted for my church, and they have done that with my announcements in the past, as well.

 

The Post has a new publisher who is begging for readers to contact him with ideas, comments, etc. His contact info is on page 4, right above my article.

yeah i have never been to fond of it either. but i moved to wake county so i wont get it anymore. :-(

 

I called and ask them not to waste their money on sending me a Cleveland Post paper.Guess what, they didn't even try to stop me or ask why.I was tired of hearing about peoples boring personal lives in the "opinion" column. It's useless and a waste of paper ,after awhile of getting I considered it JUNK mail and still do.What about the people that get suckered into advertising there?

 

I like the paper, and Jen's article. I wish they had a section on what we all seem to talk about. What is being built. What is going on with the Wal Mart? What else is going in at the Lowes Foods? What sub divisioon is being built /proposed?

 

also follow the gcaa / mcgees ath assoc games, the johnston county ymca games a little. Post some pictures and names, that would be cool.

I enjoy Jen's column, and J.T. Smith's column. My DH always looked for the Nascar page as soon as the paper came. And, as I said before, they're very good about publishing my church news. (No, it's not C3)

 

I am so slow. I never linked the Jennifer in the cleveland post to this Jen. I also like her column. Jen , you wrote something about forgiving people a while back I loved that it actually got me thinking about someone who I had to forgive and couldn't . Your column and one more is all I read in the post. I agree with everything I have ever read that you have wrote in the post you do a really great job.
