an old metal washtub (the smaller ones) I could borrow?

I want to take a few pics of Little Bit in a metal washtub because I have pictures of Mini Me in a wash tub at about the same age.

    I promise we'll return it!

I don't have one but olin mills ( spelled wrong) takes pics in the wash tubs . My daughters was taking there when she was 6 months old in one. I have one pic where she was nawing on the side of it. Was to funny looking not to keep one. I also have one from there where she was doing a job red faced and a strained look she was about 2 months old in it. I'm saving it for when shes older for black mail reasons lol

I have one. It's about 16" to 18" diameter at the top and about 9" deep.

It does say "Margarita Mama" (or something like that) on one side, but is blank on the other, so as long as you're not going to take pics from both back and front it should work.

You don't have to. It was a door prize at a Christmas party. It originally came with two margarita glasses and a bottle of mix (and lots of straw to keep it all from rattling).

It's last use was that of toy box for the grandkids, when they come over. The toys have multiplied and the tub no longer holds them all.

Actually it's Grandfather (Papa) by proxy. My son met a woman with 3 kids by a previous relationship.

They will be official, though, as of next Sunday. My son and his fiancee are getting married. :)

My mom has one that I could get for you. She uses it as the doggie tub so you would probably want to give it a good scrubbing. We do wash it after each use though!

Aww, Cliffy....that is awesome. I am about to marry a man that has no 'natural' children of his own, but treats my two like his very own. He even introduces them as his 'sons'. His parents have adopted the same kind and loving feelings towrds them too. It means alot! Congratulations to you and your family!!

Thanks everyone for the offers. HG lives closest to me, so I'm gonna scoot over to her house and grab hers, but I really appreciate all the offers!

    Grrr

Okay, so let me just rant a little bit here.

I made an appointment at WalMart to get Little Bit's pictures taken. WM is not my favorite place for pics, but they have good specials on pics (you know the 35 pics for like $7 deals) and I ONLY wanted the one shot of her in the tub, so I figured it would be okay.

I get there last night and they wouldn't take the picture. They told me that the metal washtub was a safety hazzard. What?? Are you kidding me?

No lie, at Easter, they put her in a rickety wooden basket to take her picture, but MY (or HG's) metal washtub, is a safety hazzard. I was so ill...

I called their customer service number (and BTW-they portrait studio has been bought out by Sears) and they said "Nope, it's right here in the manual, no metal washtubs". Gees Louise.

So I called Potrait Innovations today (which I discovered at Father's Day) and made the appointment. They said my metal tub is welcome there. I think that's where I'll take my business from now on.

It's at Crossroads in Cary, and they are WONDERFUL.

You can get this big ole package for $10, and there is no pressure to buy additional photos, and you can pick which ever pose you like as your package pose, it doesn't have to be the first one, and there is never a sitting fee, 1 person or 10 people, either way!
And you get your pictures that day!

Been there before too, Jen. I really liked them. They do really good work and I could afford what I wanted. Glad the pix worked out!

I think I may have to try them this year. Can you believe we've never had a family portrait done? I think this fall for Christmas we'll go get some. Can't beat the price that's for sure!
