I am looking for some recommendations for a good Vet in Clayton for my dog. Would also appreciate any feedback on ones to avoid :-( . As always, thanks for your feedback.
dr. mike bagley and his staff at clayton animal hospital are great. a little pricey but you know your pets are well cared for.
Just tired this mobile vet and very much liked the vet, his assistant, their attention to detail with the care of our animals and their more than fair prices. http://www.veterinaryexpress.com They were really that good!
I don't recommend Cleveland Animal Hospital. We had returned from a week long vacation, picked up our 4 mth. old puppy from the our neighbor who was taking care of her (let her swim in their pool all week) and spent our first night at home listening to her cry in pain, came to the conclusion that she had a very bad ear infection (floppy hear dog). This ear was very painful to touch and had puss coming from it. I called the Cleveland Animal Hospital (N. Shiloh Rd.), our puppy was a current customer and explained the urgency of the situation, we were told they could not work her in that day (I called when the doors opened for business that morning, probably the first call they received) and was told they didn't have an available appointment until 3 days later, explained once again that this could not wait that long, still told they wouldn't be able to see us. I immediately told them they lost my business, didn't seem to phase the receptionist one bit. Seeing that my puppy goes to work with me everyday I felt this would work out for the best in the long run, they asked how soon could I get her there (Wow, got my attention immediately). That's looking out for your customer and they've been the best vets ever since, going on 5 years. Gentle Care Animal Hospital, Tryon Rd. Cary. Well worth the drive for me.
Kudos to Dr. Mike and his staff, he's saved my dogs life 3 times now. He's awesome, and he really cares. He called me everyday to give me updates, sometimes on Sunday mornings and 10 pm at night. He said he lost many nights of sleep worrying about my baby boy. He truly cares about the animals, not the money. We've been going to see him for 10 years, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
yes I agree Dr.Basden is WONDERFUL!! They will work you in no matter what and she even makes follow up calls just to see how you and your pet are doing!!!
Clayton Animal Hospital truly loves the babies they care for. Yes, they are pricey, but I totally trust them. Ms. Cindy gives my little ELvis lots of loves during his Chemo treatments. I appreciate them.
We have a dog and goats and use Bar None Mobile Vet. She is really great and only charges a $30.00 trip charge unlike other mobile vets (like Willow Run charges $150.00). She comes out in emergencies and on weekends and follows up if you have a sick pet. 772-9400 thebarnone@aol.com Dr. Robbie Haskins
Just in case anyone else is interested. I just called this vet and they are no longer taking new animals as patients.
We also use Dr. Basden and switched over from another vet. We had some urgent concerns with his skin. They saw us immediately. He ended up having surgery. They took great care of him. As a side note, since you asked...I do not recommend Banfield at PetSmart. I think there was a thread on this recently. Good luck.
i 4th or 5th (whichever it is at this point) Dr. Debbie - she is awesome and really loves her patients but still has time to explain things to the patient's "parents":-D
We've been going to Clayton Animal Hospital for 19 1/2 yrs now. Love Dr. Bagley and our favorite, Dr. Stacey Beam. She saved our dog's life several times over, and when we had to put her down eventually (she was 14yrs old) she cried along with me. She even sent me flowers the next day. All of the staff are very compassionate and while they may seem pricey, it's because they offer the most advanced services in the area. I wouldn't go anywhere else!
Good Vet in Garner Area After going to one of the expensive vets in Cary, I take Arnold to Dr. Ansede (www.docansede.com) off Tryon Road in Garner. He is the only vet there, and the staff is small and friendly. It's not a fancy clinic, but I have always had excellent service at a reasonable cost.
Thumbs up for Clayton Animal Hospital. Drs. Beam, Smith and Bagley saved my cat twice with his bladder stones. Yes a tad bit pricey but they really do care. I agree with tawii that's a no for Dr. Lash
Thumbs up for Clayton Animal hospital. My dogs love all the docs there but really like Dr Stacy and Dr Kelly....they prefer women... The vet techs are terrific and really focused on making the pet feel comfortable before any procedure. The front desk is pretty awesome too...
I just had my cat euthanized and cremated..i think the cremation was about 100 or so for a private cremation.
