Our area did not make the list. I'm guessing it is because the growth her is split amoung many zip codes (Clayton, Willow Spring, Garner, ...) http://www.forbes.com/forbeslife/20...ousing-forbeslife-cx_mw_0716realestate_2.html #18 Holly Springs North Carolina - 74% # 20 Wake Forest North Carolina - 73.2% #46 Huntersville North Carolina - 48.7% #51 Cornelius North Carolina - 47.2% #63 Apex North Carolina - 43.6%
Seems like I remember about 4-5 years ago, Johnston county was the 2nd fastest growing county in the nation. Anyone else remember a stat like that?
Yes, I remember something like that, not sure how long ago. We're still one of the fastest growing counties in the state, don't know about the nation.
This link is 2000-2004 county growth. Johnston was in top 100, but near the bottom. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1384980/posts this is for June 1, 2004 to June 1, 2005 we ddi not make this list. http://money.cnn.com/2006/03/15/real_estate/fastest_growing_US_counties/index.htm this is for 2000-2006 and we did not make this list. http://www.davickservices.com/100_fastest_growing_counties_21st_century.htm
i have looked more and i thought i remebered that we were one of the fastest growing counties, but maybe it was just in the state, or newer facts i can't find.
I've heard many times that Johnston County is one of the fastest growing in the state, but not sure where that statistic came from either.
Where can I find the numbers for how much Clayton/Johnston Co has grown in population for, say... a particular number of years? Did I word that right?
