Mommy mode and marriage

Why is it when you ladies pop out a few kids you forget to have fun with the hubby? All of the activities from that point are centered around the kids. No time to go out and have fun. When you do go out...just before you sit down to eat...."Wait, I want to call and check on the kids!". Remember to have fun with your partner. If you think you can keep him by always making activities around the kids and not making time for each other...Things are headed for a ditch. SO sometimes you need to get out of mommy mode and turn back into the hot girl he married once in a while. Actually you better do it more than that. Remember those ladies you resent at the mall, the grocery store, and at the local eatery??? He notices them to.

Ok got ya, turn off the mommy mode. ok but if we do that , well that means that you guys need to lose weight, get off the couch ,put down the remote, stop wearing that tshirt with the holes in it, shave, stop playing "pull my finger" then we can talk

Well, I'm not like that. My hubby and I usually go out 1-2 nights a week and we do a lot together!

Now, when my kids were small they required much more of my time, because I was a working Mom, so I felt like I needed to spend my "free" time with them. Even then, we've always managed to have "alone" time, even if it were after the kiddo's went to bed and it was just the two of us having a decent conversation, sharing our ambitions and dreams or romantic. People do have to realize, Love changes over time and it isn't always the same as when everything was "new". I think that's one of the things that breaks up relationships. I can say that after 19 years w/the hubby, I respect and love him more today than when it was "new" and we keep our romantic lives fresh by spicing things up once in a while.

Now, that doesn't mean he doesn't get on my freakin nerves sometimes and I know I get on his. Heck, who doesn't look, I do, he does, it's natural. Just knowing when to keep it at just looking!

We always have date night, three or four times a month. period. I require it (and I 'm the Mom). I can't even imagine not having the 'hot date' nights. It's the glue of our relationship.

Really is it him having to lose weight only??? So you mean no fun at home. He will put away that holy t-shirt if you put away those holy granny drawers. He will also get off the couch once you hang up the phone. Again he will put down the remote once you put down the phone. Nothing is wrong with the "Pull My Finger" joke.

In all due honesty I don't want anyone calling me at home especially during the week. I worked all day and it's time for home and family!

Me too. I live working with men better than women, that way I know I don't have woman drama...LOL. I play in the football, racing fantasy leagues with all my work guys (and do pretty good btw). I too am "girlie" looking...I wear makeup, dress girlie and my hair has to always be "fixed". Sounds like we are a lot alike!

Oh, I hate blanket statements like that about married women! 8) SB and the others have fairly well covered it............I've been married to the same man for almost 17 years, I definitley keep him "interested."
