Has anyone seen any horse back packs?

I know some would say that I am probably being too indulgent and have too much time on my hands, but my rising fifth grader wants a backpack with horses all over it. Everything I find online is for preschoolers-have any moms seen any while school shopping? Thanks.

There are some very cute "older kids" backpacks, bags, or purses found at Carolina Rag Company. Just do a yahoo search and it will come up. Another website to look at for cute horse themed stuff is wild horsefeathers.

    Happy Horse Stuff Shopping!

I would try calling Country Connection in Garner they might have something or know where one would be! If not just go to Michaels and get some patches that are horses and have her help you iron them on!

    :p

Or... A better idea would be to take it to an embroiderer and maybe have a horse put on it. There is a lady in Clayton that has a business doing it... don't remember the name though...

Have you tried LL Bean? My daughter loves Panda's and she got a really nice one with a Panda on it and the lunch box as well. She wanted one with wheels on it and they light up when it rolls..now this is a very high priced back pack..but she wanted it and my parents bought it lol. I wasn't going to. There was nothing wrong with the one she had left over from last yr which is also a LL Bean back pack..but she is 7 and everything had to be new this yr.

We did see the ones at Lands' End but they "only have one little teeny horse on it". I found some by Wildkin that have lots of horses and they are English, Western, and Rodeo prints but they are smaller than the average backpack. Even in 4th grade her backpack was stuffed with heavy books so i thought that wouldn't do. I do thank everyone for helping out with something so trivial. I just figure I won't have many more years where she is all excited and wants something "cute".

Here's one with wheels on it for 24.95 at Amazon.com.

might want to make sure the school allows ones with WHEELS....alot do not.

not trying to kill the cute horse backpack theme going here, just dont want you to spend that money and have a heartbroken wee one on your hands. ;)

Thanks so much! I think they have a few that are big enough.

Here's a horse backpack, but I don't think the schools are going to go for this. You could ask about llama backpacks, or donkey backpacks but I doubt they'll be thrilled about those either.

You must've gotten one of those teachers that gives a lot of homework.

Does anyone know if McGee's middle allows backpack with wheels?

(now back to the original conversation.)
