Let's see if this will work: Each day this week (unless someone wants to change it sooner) we'll do a different "What was/is your favorite...?" I'll go first. What was your favorite toy(s) as a kid? And do you still have it/them? 1. Any model airplane or ship. Still got some of them. 2. Johnny West cowboy action figure and all his friends. Got a few. 3. Rockem Sockem Robots. Gone. (Boy did I take some stress out with those guys!! Loved knocking my opponents block off.) 4. Battleship (My daughter and I still play the one I had as a kid.) Kent
Any book I could get my hands on...and....my Lone Ranger and Tonto barbies...oh wait...maybe I should call them action figures....
I don't remember a lot of my childhood, almost nothing before 4th/5th grade. But I do remember having a bike with those long handle bars, a purple, metal flaked banana seat, a sissy bar, a playing card clothes pinned on the hit the spokes and a basket on the front that had flowers.
I had a stuffed Hershey Bear named Scrappy who went with me everywhere. I was also a big Barbie fan. My mother still has them at her house.
Any of the barbie sized dolls for me. They weren't all Barbie, but having the dolls, the houses, and things that went with them provided hours of entertainment for me. Sad to say that I don't have any of them. I wish I did... Of course, I wouldn't play w/ them, but maybe my daughter would.
Playing outside with my best friend til the lights came on. We would pick tomatoes out of her grandmas garden and then sitting in her grandpas boat eating them. Not really a toy but it was my past time that I most remember.
Oh man, we had some great toys as kids! 1. Lemon drop (the lemon that went around your ankle and you jumped over it) 2. My bike, loved doing Evil knievel jumps 3. Operation 4. My barbies Too many to list!
My big wheel - hands down. Lemon drop - gracious I had nearly forgotten! Did you play chinese jump rope too?
I loved Barbie and Friends! I still have my mansion, Jeep, and pool as well as lots of collectors dolls.
I used to love to sit on our front porch and play jacks with my friends. Of course, I had barbies too! My daughter played with them when she was little and has now put them up for when she has children. Loved the Lemon Drop too!
Oh, I can't foget my treasured marbles. I've still got a huge tub of them, I bet some of them are worth a ton now! If you can tell I grew up around all boys, so I played more boy stuff than girly stuff (although, I did love my barbies)!
I still have my yo-yo- and my oy-oy. Oh, and also my Click-Clacks... can still do them as good as 40 years ago!!!! and i have my yahtzee game that i still play for the last 30 years,,, worn alot but the dice tray is still liveable.
Here's an oldie my Sunshine doll. That was my only toy along with a bike. Loved the bike too, rode all over the county.
1) My Monkees drum set. (I WISH I still had it!) 2) Matchbox and Hotwheels cars. (I had two grocery bags full!) 3) Model cars. I still have most of them that I built. 4) Legos
...ohmygosh...I just choked on my Cheese-its...Blusdrmr, love the avatar!...'scuse me...gotta go brush the crumbs, now....
"Wee-Bles wobble but they don't fall down!" They have a new-fangled kind these days but they are just not the same!
I had loads of fisher price little people houses, airport, garage, school, etc.....I still have a house and a few other things that were mine as a child...but one year for Christmas I went crazy on ebay and bought about 20 buildings and loads of little stuff for my kids...that was about 7 years ago...they still absolutely love to haul it all out and spend days playing with it all....
