The Powerball drawing is for $245 million dollars! I've spent $5 on tickets. Yes, I know I won't win and I just "wasted" $5, but I definitely won't win if I don't buy a ticket, right?

I just saw that a Wake Forest couple won $1 million on Sat.............I'd settle for that, LOL!

I bought tickets Saturday night and didn't win. I'm desitned to win one day, maybe today is my day!

Someone who used to be on the board here won the lottery in NY I think it was, right? Italian Stallion?

I'll be purchasing my tickets today!

    I did.

BTW, my Dad was in Lowes Foods this past Saturday ( the one on 70 in Clayton) and a lady came back into the store in tears. . .she bought a 10.00 scratch off in the machine and won a million dollars! How cool for her!

Now, if that was me, I wouldn't have walked back in an announced it for fear someone would run me down and snatch it:rolleyes:

I have never bought lottery tickets before ('cept the scratch off ones) is there any kind of 'talent' to it? or just walk and say I need lottery tickets? :?: :?:

    KDC,
if, by phenomenal chance, a winning ticket was purchased here, many who didn't play will ask themselves why they didn't take the chance, those who do will feel that the gold mine they seek is a little bit closer and they'll play again.

I figure it's worth 5 bucks...as I have no real expectation of winning, and I'd love to be proven wrong.

245 mill...Maybe I could buy what's left of the undeveloeopd area around me and just let it ride...

    Good Luck!

    Carl

You can either pick your own numbers by marking them on a ticket and giving it to the cashier, or just tell them you want the computer to pick and the cashier will do it for you, you don't have to do anything.

I'm glad you are asking these questions, I dont know either and was wondering the same thing, I have always let the computer pick but I think this time I will pick my own!

You need to pick a total of 6 numbers: 5 for the draw and 1 for the powerball. All 6 have to match exactly to win the jackpot. (You can also win smaller amounts by matching just a few numbers... visit the nclottery website for amounts and odds).
Anyway- you can pick your own numbers by filling in the scantron or just fill in the "QP" box and the computer will pick them for you. (Or, you can just go to the counter and tell the clerk how many you want to buy and he/she can print them out! You only get quick pics that way, though).

Perhaps she hasn't claimed it at the lottery commission yet. . .seeking tax advice, etc. . .you have something like 60 days AFTER the game has ended to claim it.
