Yeah, much more rain and MUCH less wind. Tore the tarp off my kids wooden playgym, shredded it. Before I could get to him, 5yo had crawled in the coat closet under the stairs on top of all the sleeping bags terrified of the wind. He just KNEW it was a tornado. Poor thing.
shhhhhhh no ma'am...I have sat through many 'tropical depressions' at Carter Finley for the first game.....taint no fun!!! Wish for it week after next. :-D
We had 0.6" inch of rain. Very bad winds. Tore out a very big limb of a maple tree. Thanks to a friend and neighbor who has a chain saw we just finished cutting up the mess and putting it on the street. I agree we need a tropical depression. As a Wolfpack fan and seanon ticket holder for many years I am willing to sit in the rain on September 1 for our first home game just to help relieve the drought. It is getting serious. I have rain gear to handle the bad weather at football games.
I have and will do the same...just don't like it. PLASTIC PONCHOS DONT BREATH!!! The drought will still be here on Sunday is all I am screamin.
We drove through the Entire Storm from NY to NC yesterday... RAINED the ENTIRE way home...all 800+ miles. Ugh. and We have a tree down in the front yard. Lovely mess. Grrrr. But I know we needed the RAIN.
Took forever to get into the parking lot and when the rain finally slowed we tromped through the mud and were stopped before we made it to the gate. CANCELLED!!! yes, they are supposed to reschedule and 96 Rock promises they will tell us when very soon! I was bumbed.....then fell asleep during BB!
