On Monday, while heading home from work, on Old Garner Road somewhere between Auburn-Knightdale and Shotwell Roads I remember seeing some signs that I thought said "StopTheTrainYard.org"

I finally got around to trying to check out the site to see what they were talking about, but apparently I didn't remember the web address correctly.

Anyone know what it's all about (and what the actual address is)?

I think I saw something on the news about it. I think the rail road people are thinking about adding to the tracks or something and it would effect some houses near by . I could be wrong .

Not necessarily. Sometimes I go down 70. Depends on the traffic on each road. And then it depends on whther or not I pick up my girlfriend from work (she works on Mechanical Blvd)

oh ok! yea they added a stop light on 70 in clayton infront of that army store that im not sure what the point is! i work at white oak so its easier for me just to cross over onto old garner rd than crazy clayton traffic!

Now wait a minute. You'd rather face 25 MPH downtown Clayton traffic, with the big bottleneck at Main and Lombard to avoid one little secondary traffic light on 70???

i dont come thru main and lombard, once i get on 42 i turn by percy flowers and go thru archers lodge and up to riverwood and turn on covered bridge and then onto shotwell. much faster than the 70 traffic bc when i leave work or leave for work i can do the speed limit or faster on those rds than i can on 70.

Where are you coming from? Neusse Colony or Glen Laurel?

Once on Shotwell, you could take 70 and there aren't any "new" lights.

neither one, yea i could do that but when you get on 70 to garner there are back ups the whole time in the am. when i am on those rds i never have to wait.

well i dont have to very far on old garner rd to get to white oak so i only hit 2 lights not counting the one at shotwell. :) no when it starts snowing or icing and i have to get to work or home that might be another story!!!!
